Comments (8)Paint door and shutters (perhaps a different style shutter and possibly wood), path to front door ( flagstone?). Maybe window boxes? Landscaping; I am not an expert by any stretch on that but a little less trimmed shrubs and more flowing). If it were me the fond columns would go and be replaced with square; perhaps in cedar, as I don’t think the round fit the style of the home at all. Pretty house and I like painted brick but I don’t think your house needs it....See MoreRecommendations for affordable exterior patio doors.
Comments (7)I am replacing a large double sliding glass door. The difference in price from a cheap vinyl door with bad reviews and the lower end Anderson was not that much of a difference. $6k or$8k. Ironically, the most expensive quote I got was for the exact same Anderson door ($16k). I also had quotes for other no name vinyl doors that were higher than the 8k Anderson. Finding the right installer (in my case a GC rather than a windows and door company) seemed to make the largest price difference. To find the GC I called a local lumber yard / building supply company that carries a bunch of different doors and asked them who could help me select and install the door. They gave me the names of 2 General Contractors. I was happy enough with the first one I didn't call the other. There was a 16 week lead time quoted by Anderson when my door was ordered....See MoreMCM House - Exterior Upgrades - Feedback Requested
Comments (51)Hi! looking for ideas on house number placement. Current landscaping is being completely removed and we will replaxe with minimal and mostly ground level, succulents, etc. I'm thinking large modern numbers placed vertically. Either on the wall Ive marked in red or somehow attached to the stone? Would love some ideas. Gate needs to stay for security reasons. Hanging light is being replaced. Provide light ideas if you have and front door is being refinised and stained, not painted. House is being painted now and will post pics soon. Thank You!...See MoreDenita
