Photos - Plz help! Will my drain plumbing work with 8 or 10" sink?

Thank you in advance, to anyone who can help us avoid a costly mistake!

We are in the process of upgrading our kitchen counter tops and sink and settled on a single basin, under mount Elkay with rear center drain. I wanted a sink with 10" depth, but was worried it might not work with our current drain plumbing height, so decided to err on the side of caution and chose a sink with 8" depth. But I'm still worried.

Can anyone who knows a bit about plumbing take a look at the photos, and tell me if an 8" depth under mount sink will work? Or for that matter, if a 10" depth sink would work?

About our current setup:

  • Cabinets are 34.5" high
  • Counters are laminate with a drop-in 40/60 Transolid sink with 6" and 9" basin depth, respectively (though part of that basin depth sits above the counter)
  • A 3/4 hp InSinkerator is mounted under the 6" basin on the left
  • If I measure the distance between the bottom of the cabinet to the center of the drain pipe coming out of our wall, it's about 13.5" from the cabinet floor

Any observations/advice is much appreciated!
