Need a bit more help picking a floor
Comments (22)Does he have borderline colorblindness? I've noticed that some men (red-green colorblindness is far more prevalent in men) who can give the name "brown" or "green" or "red" correctly to most shades don't actually see them correctly and will see things on colorblindness tests that prove that they're not quite seeing what we are. Leads to a lot of "I hate green" (which I think they see as a muddy brown)....See MoreNeed help picking the right living room rug

Comments (5)Hi, Jill, it’s hard to say without knowing how the rest of your house is decorated, what style(s) you like best, if you like patterns, want other colors, etc. Just based on your pictures here, a couple of ideas. These are not to scale, but just to give an idea and see if you like these looks or are wanting something completely different: https://www.potterybarn.com/products/pb-classic-tapered-metal-linear-chandelier/?pkey=cchandeliers https://www.cb2.com/indira-faded-red-rug/f18105 https://www.rugsusa.com/rugsusa/rugs/rugs-usa-faded-persian/Olive/200KSRS09A-P.html https://www.westelm.com/products/sculptural-glass-canned-5-light-chandelier-champagne-36-w3633/?pkey=c...See MoreI need help picking rugs!
Comments (14)I would get the plants up off the floor right away! That is a disaster in the making. Even if the pots are designed to collect drainage, you may get moisture condensing under them that will seep through to the floor, and then your floor is ruined. If you want the large tree there (which is not a bad idea) or anywhere inside, then put it on a nice, low (rolling?) plant stand. Something attractive with a solid bottom like this https://www.amazon.com/Dcpes-Rolling-Invisible-Casters-Dark-Grey/dp/B0C28QVSBZ/ref=sr_1_51_sspa?hvadid=616863036876&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=1013721&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=15106850892247541313&hvtargid=kwd-37750356689&hydadcr=24631_13611696&keywords=plant+dolly+with+wheels&qid=1688507031&sr=8-51-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGY&psc=1 that doesn't look like something you would have outdoors. I like ideas similar to those proposed by housegal200 if there is sufficient room. The nook looks like a fairly small space that my not accommodate chair(s), table, etc. without looking very crowded and impeding access to the stairs....See MoreLena D
