Hi. So my husband left last year, since then he has been hestitant in giving me his address. Our son is only four and I am unsure on if I am over reacting about this, BUT my ex has moved into what seems to be a share house with his new partner.

My four year old has told me he doesn't have a room, he sleeps on the lounge when he goes there. Now this concerns me as there is possibly other people there, and who knows what may happen while my ex is asleep in his bedroom and my son is on the lounge through the night. I understand it isn't right to think the worst of people, but my ex had NO friends while we were together for over seven years. So he cannot have known these people longer than a few months, and it really worries me that he feels this is an okay situation to place our son in. My son is friendly and will do anything anyone asks of him without a second though, and this really worries me.

is there anything I can do about this situation? Such as legally request police checks and working with children checks be done on all adults that live in the house? Has anyone had experience with this or a similar situation?

my ex is not civil at all, I am not even allowed his address to know where my son is going, he will not even say two words to me when he picks up and drops off our son, and whenever I ask about something my son has said regarding his time with him he always says "he's a liar" or "he's only four why are you listening to him"...

any advice would be apreciated.
