Do you mean the audio part of a music video to mp3? I don't think mp3 supports videos.

yes, that's what I mean. I used to have a website that you copy/paste the url in and then click convert and it would do it then I would download the file and have the song..no video. I can't find that site and the ones i've tried are complicated not easy like the one I used before.

The free program Audacity records sound playing on the PC. It's easy to use but it's set up as a "figure it out yourself" program. A few minutes of clicking around and changing settings is all that's needed to become competent in using it. Google "Audacity" to find a download site.

Start Audacity's record setting, then start the video playing in a browser. When it's done, stop the recording and save to an MP3 or other sound file format. You can choose the quality setting you want for the MP3.

Sometimes a change to a Windows sound setting is required for it to work.

Be careful to make sure you have permission to grab the audio content though, it can certainly violate licensing if you’re doing it to rip songs or other licensed media.
