Have a look at this thread. They used Cloe Tile with Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold. It really looks gorgeous and I've bookmarked it myself for a future project. I agree that mixing the real marble with the Silestone may not work well. But I think you can put some sample boards together for your favourite choices and lean them up against the wall to help you visualize. You can also try different grout colours on your sample boards. The Cloe tile has significant variation and I think that is a plus. The problem of matching the white of your cabinets with the white in the Silestone and another white in your backsplash can be really tough. They are never all going to be the same and if you miss on one of the choices, then something is going to look dingy. But I think the colour variation in the Cloe tile will help with that, pull all the whites and some of the colour from the Silestone together. I'm sure it will be lovely. Just seemed to be a better white for us - as for the quartz I love the suede finish of the eternal Statuario but the fingerprints would drive me crazy. I had a sample in my kitchen and sure enough from every angle it was nothing but finger prints! I think the polished will be better for me to maintain - though I absolutely love the honed/suede look - looks more like marble for sure. I’m also worried about curry and turmeric staining - I’ve read that’s an issue and I like to cook a lot. Let me know what you end up with, will be fun for you to see all the whites! We had our kitchen designer bring them to our house so it’s all about the lighting too. You’ll like the cabinets!! :-)

How do you use your kitchen? And who uses your kitchen? Do you have small children? or maybe elderly parents living with you? Are you a messy cook or a tidy reheat take out kind of cook? Are you the kind of party entertainer that cleans right after the party catching the spilled red wine or do you wait until the morning? Do you use lots of olive oil, red wine and mustard? When we had kids I would have loved quartz in our home. My kids used our kitchen as their lab for experiments or a place to make messy pizza or sprinkled cupcakes. We were a messy active family that spilled things. You might not see the spilled food coloring immediately. We chose a dark granite in a graphite color. It was wonderful and worked for us. Fast forward to our home today. We have chosen a white delicate marble with adult kids who only come into town for the holidays. It is perfect for us and we love it. I looked into white granites but there are many that have issues that crop up later. Now that I say that Quartz has had a few complaints too. Here are some links...
