How to do a "search all" in Windows 10

I am trying to find all instances of outlook files (*.pst) that there may be in my PC so I can locate a recipe in very, very old email records. W10 is not user friendly for these things so I give up.... Is this still something that we can do somehow? I want to locate all outlook files in the C drive regardless of whatever folder they may be under. I expect the email to be 10 or more years old (before W10 so in some old file or archive file).

File search in Windows has always been done using (it's changed names) Windows Explorer, File Explorer, etc. There are also free third party programs like Snowbird that offer a bit more flexibility, including searching file contents. But the basic Windows function works fine for file names. Type Explorer in the menu search/help box to get to it.

I know nothing about archiving files but if that's a function like zip or rar where files get buried into other files and compressed/reconfigured/encrypted, a search function may not work to find something so buried.

SB, I’d start with the default file locations, and they are mentioned here https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/21384/where-is-my-pst-file-and-how-can-i-move-it-somewhere-else/.

I find the Win10 search plenty adequate for my needs, especially the explorer search. You can use the basic search next to the home button, but I find thats best used for commonly used files and apps.

Owbist, thanks for the link. The hotfix isn't there and the links on the page take you back to Microsoft pages and they are no longer supporting Windows ME. I sent an e-mail to the notebook card manufacturer for their assistance and also sent one to the camera manufacturer. Will see what they say. Does anyone have the hotfix that I need?

Is the window up for changing? It is accenting the height of everything. And I know DW are 24" - is that how much counter is between the fridge and sink or is there more? Over the fridge - you could do 30" and then beside it over the dishwasher do 45". (15" above the counter). Does that make sense - it's getting late I might be screwing up my numbers) Can the window be made shorter and wider - unless that's the look your're going for. When you talk about artwork - is that kids artwork or adult permanent artwork. Because you can always use that to balance the other side of the window. Can you put an open shelf on that side plus artwork or no. that would add interest and texture to that side. Nothing to say that artwork can't go on shelves. For the range - I don't know.

Not all screens install in the same manner. If you have screens in windows that fit where there is no screen, take them to get ones made alike. If you wish to DIY, HD, Lowes, etc sell the parts, with instructions, to make your own.

Roman shades on large windows will look like blankets because they are constructed of fabric. The green window treatment pictured above looks to be cellular shades, not roman shades. When the roman shade is drawn closed it will have little structure and essentially look like a large piece of fabric, like a blanket. When you look online for images of roman shades they are mostly shown on cute little windows. You don't often see them in massive windows and when you do they aren't typically photographed drawn closed, because yep, it looks like a blanket.

If you know the name of the recipe or a unique ingredient search that too ... Open the C drive in file explorer and in the top right corner is a search box, will search that C open drive. It can find words inside files. Kind of slow, but not terrible.
