How do you paint door window grilles different colors?
Comments (3)Paint one side and then paint the other side. I would use something with some sheen so that when you paint the other side you can easily clean off the oops from the paint leaking over the edge. When you paint the final side, use a good brush and brush away from the edge to minimize getting paint on the finished side. Honestly, grill painting with 2 colors is not a fun job, even for a pro....See MoreHow long should a paint job last on interior wood windows?
Comments (5)5 years, but as said, this depends on the amount of condensation. Some people don't even understand what the humidifier is for. A properly painted surface will only be able to withstand constant exposure to moisture for two years or so before the surface starts to fail. If I were to buy a new house, I would keep some touch up paint around and only recoat the areas near the glass as they start to show wear....See Morestuck on how to paint ceiling/walls around dormers!!
Comments (8)So sorry, didn't see the knockdown from my phone. Well that is a pickle. The reasoning behind painting the slant the same as the wall is it doesn't look like the ceiling is coming down on you. You could paint the walls and the ceiling the same color. But with the strong blue (pretty color ) it might be a bit much. You could sand down the knockdown on the slants. That is a huge mess to do though. You could do the walls the blue and the ceiling and slants a lighter version of the blue. Knockdown or not I still would paint the slant the same as the wall....See MoreBedroom Dormer Window Design Ideas Needed!
Comments (1)You could do a chaise like this in the dormer for a spot to relax, read, text, etc.. You can add drawers underneath for more storage. The chaise wouldn't have to fill the entire dormer. This one almost does, but you can make it shorter if you want. Start saving for a lift TV cabinet with swivel to put at the foot of the bed. you can watch from the dormer or the bed. Shop second hand or Habitat stores for some solid doors you can cut to fit the closets. Maybe you can find some bi-folds or even use old shutters to make doors. Also consider using shades on them. Unless you want to put the bed in front of the window, it is probably in the best spot. Sliders Bi-folds...See Morewestern_pa_luann
