It's been a minute...and I need you, again!
Comments (17)I love it! You don't need everything in your kitchen to be a star. Subtle is good. I think the granite is very pretty and once you put your cooktop in, it will take away that big contrast area as well as draw your eye away from the seam. I was really unhappy about them putting a seam right in front of my sink because to me it was such a visible area. But now it is such a non issue that I just ran in to the kitchen to see if it is actually there. One thing I did learn in decorating: underwhelmed is better than overwhelmed. I bought a real fancy backsplash with the help of a friend and the store "decorator". Brought home a few pieces of it for a mock up and hated it. I ended up with plain old cheap subway tile and love it. It is the perfect backdrop for my "stuff", and I have more flexibility in other things - wall color, towels, appliances, etc. Your kitchen is beautiful, enjoy it. ....See MoreHouzz - things we would like please
Comments (85)Couple things that I find helpful on other discussion forums I visit: If you hover your pointer over the thread title, a little box pops up w/ a 'preview' of the post. Helps to know what the post is actually about, saves time opening threads w/ titles like 'Help'. Also, next to the thread title is a button that will take you to the first unread post of the thread (it doesn't appear if there are no new posts). That way, you know if there are new comments and it saves time not having to scroll through the whole thread looking for the last post read....See MoreMauve and purple shrub roses (again)
Comments (105)Seaside - I hope it works! :) :) Kristine - I am so in love with your Lavender Crush. I hope I can find one next year! Beautiful Twilight zone color. :) :) I hate it when the camera won't take the right color from the rose...very frustrating. I'm so glad that you saved Sweet Madame Blue...she's a beauty...and the color is wonderful....See MoreDrawer girl strikes again!!!
Comments (24)I can squeeze in a lot of drawers because I use frameless (IKEA) case and custom sized the drawer's heights. Here's pic of my 18" cab with 6 drawers including toekick. Drawer 1- 4" spice with insert. Drawer 2- silverware daily You can see I'm starting the measurements for the custom divider. Drawer 3 - potholders Drawer 4 - haven't decided yet based on utility. I may need two spice drawers. Drawer 5 - box of the sterling silver toekick - extra spice bags the 18" cab to the right will have the same setup with knives at top then small utensils then small cutting boards / trivets. The only cabinet with less than min 5 drawers is the bake cab. 2 drawers and toe kick drawer. It's only 23" high. I have my goodwill table that I cut down into a rollout. Still need stripping, paint and a marble top....See Morefig_insanity Z7b E TN
