Help: advice needed choosing backsplash for kitchen
Comments (14)I have also been lurking here and absorbing lots of great advice. I'm very interested to hear suggestions on this, as we're also getting seafoam green granite. I was waiting for the cabinets to be done and granite installed before asking for suggestions as pictures definitely help. Our cabinets will be a medium tone stain. This granite is kind of "in between" as far as pattern goes. Not nearly as much movement as say, Bordeaux, but not evenly uniform, so you can't get too carried away with a fancy backsplash. I was thinking maybe matte subway tile, but wanted some sort of decorative element too. I love the look of glass tile, but it may not be right for a traditional kitchen. Meg, great seafoam slabs! Those are have really nice color and pattern....See MoreNeed Advice on Backsplash- for remodeled kitchen
Comments (4)Nice kitchen. It appears that you have dark elemnts in the cabinets and the granite. What is the granite? It looks like brown and cream? If so, I would go with a cream color tile for the backsplash. Are there other colors in the granite that are hard to dectect on our monitors? A paint in the yellow family would look nice. I would go deeper though. We have BM Powell Buff. A gold toned paint with slight green undertone. (My granite is dark giallo ornamental, so lots of deep brown.)There are many favorites and I am sure everyone will offer suggestions....See MoreAdvice needed for kitchen back splash and island
Comments (61)Okay. My 2 cents. It appears that the dining room is a bit squishy. Lots of big furniture. My thought would be to remove the sideboard, put a banquette along the wall and shift the dining table over. This is a tad fancier then what you are going for but this is right beside a kitchen peninsula...same layout. I think they shifted the chandelier over so it is centred with the table. If you search for "banquette dining" on PINTEREST you'll get lots of inspiration. Just a thought to give you more breathing room if desired. :) The balance between the beautiful banquet and the open chairs would be perfect (in your style)....See MoreAdvice Needed on Kitchen Tile Back-Splash and LVT/LVP Flooring Color
Comments (5)Hi Chispa, House is a townhouse built in 1996, trying to modernize the look. As far as decorating style, I like modern/contemporary, nothing too funky. Something that would be cohesive with the rest of the kitchen, and bring the kitchen to life a little. It's very white right now....See MoreR.D. London Studios
