Comments (2)Anti siphon valves should be at least 16" above the highest point in your yard.I recommend installing a Pressure Vacuum Breaker(anti siphon)I use a brand called Febco. I install the valves underground to protect them from the weather.(I'm in Arizona) I also only purchase my products from a irrigation supply instead of the home stores. You get much better quality. As a licensed landscape contractor,I would suggest you take a picture of your valves and show it to someone at a irrigation store. (Ewing, Horizon, for example)Good luck...See MoreCompression shutoff valve leak
Comments (4)My husband installed them and I assume he got them squarely on the pipe. It looks like if they weren't seated properly, they would have leaked immediately, not months down the road. We purchased these valves from Lowe's. We didn't buy the cheapest they sold because we wanted something that would last. You're right that it is difficult to see where the leak is. I stared at the drip for awhile and it *seemed* to be coming from the area you tighten to the copper pipe. It's definitely not leaking around the outflow connection....See MoreValves installed incorrectly?
Comments (20)I agree he was not a professional, just that he portrayed himself as such. Unfortunately the reality for me is I am very rural and very few people do contracting work near me. Part of this is absolutely on us. We had hired this guy previously and had no issues. We even talked to previous customers who wouldn't say anything bad until after they found out we were having a bad experience. We trusted him too much. I am pissed that this guy wont even refund us for work that is not completed and we are facing a lawsuit with him. I am pissed that the plumbers basically went "not my problem" and refused to even respond to us until I left them a negative review. I am not expecting these trim kits to fit snug, I know that is not realistic. But they look so ridiculous as they are. I don't feel like I can trust any one else at this point, nor do I have the money to. We are going to fix what we can to move back into our home as we have been displaced for 9 months so far. This will have to be fixed down the road. I do appreciate any advice I have gotten. When we are able we will be opening up the walls to fix these valves. Not sure what to do about our tub faucet as that might require tearing out some tiles....See MoreQuality Assurance on this Faucet install
Comments (4)I've got the same faucet, a Price Pfister pull-down. You'll take off the hot and cold from the valves. Then remove the pullout hose connection from under the faucet. Remove the weight from the hose. Take off the big 'bolts' holding the faucet and handle to the counter. You'll probably need a faucet wrench and a bit of patience for this. Pull out both sides then switch them around. Assembly is the reverse. I bet if you look around on line you will find an instruction manual with the installation instructions in it. BTW: the reason the valve goes on the right (usually) is that most people are right-handed. Where you put it is up to you....See MoreE L
