Geographic Tongue III
Comments (5)Hi suki, If it is actually idiopathic then the physiology of circulation in to & out from the tongue body must be involved. Fissures & serration patterns would involve fluid content of the tongue tissues. Your assumption that it is coming from some internal problem is in contrast with your doctor's assurance that it is not a pathological condition. Historically for you there are chocolate/coffee/citric triggers & these contact your tongue during ingestion. Maybe look to a more local response, where those geographic tongue triggers cause an on site reaction that reduces normal fluid circulation. Sort of an astringent condition, that lasts too long & the tongue progressively dessicates into raw features. The duration of each episode drags on until fluid circulation gets restored & has enough time to re-hydrate the tongue tissue, which flushes up the contours. In terms of what to do about the sensitivity to your triggers: it would be interesting to see if their ingestion accompanied by solid food spares you. In other words not eaten/drunk alone, before or after - but chewed & swallowed with the mastication saliva of your food....See MorePart III: Now help me with the chairs!
Comments (55)I really like the Maitland Smith chairs you've selected. I think they have the right proportions (not too spindly on the uprights on the back) and the intricacy is just right (not too fussy, not too plain). I didn't like the #3 Chippendale chairs as much as the #2 chairs for reasons specific to the actual chairs. I don't think I have enough knowledge to tell the difference between what makes a chair a "Chippendale" or not. So apparently I don't dislike Chippendale chairs specifically since I really like the ones you've selected. Regarding upholstery on the RH chairs, I really like the idea of using a dark blue. I like the material you've selected, but I tend to like herringbone fabric a lot anyway. I might suggest looking to try a sample even more dark and more blue if you can find one you like, since this does seem to have a bit of a grey cast to it. But overall I like the sample, and your assistant kitty is very beautiful....See MoreLR Part III: Not paint, but area rugs! Advice please
Comments (20)I have rug #2 (though don't have it out atm due to repainting the room it was in)and it is very pretty in person. The base color is a bit more of a cooler green than it appears in the overstock pic online (on my monitor anyway). All the rugs you posted are nice, so think it all just depends on the overall look and color scheme you are trying to achieve....See More"soft modern" small kitchen reno - Part III of the ongoing saga ;)
Comments (40)nosoccermom - thanks for the great ideas! Very interesting info about printing a glass backsplash (!!), and attaching it. I think there's quite a range between attaching a piece of glass to go behind the range, vs a professionally installed glass backsplash. I looked into some aspects of this as well, and found that Starphire glass doesn't have the blue tinge, which adds a strange colour element (may or may not be desirable). I guess glass isn't something I can completely rule out. raee_gw zone 5b-6a - thanks for chiming in. Good to know that paint has worked for you! cpartist - to my eye, materials like Neolith, quartz, etc. don't really look right beside my granite counters. It's hard to tell from the photos, but there is some translucency and depth to the natural granite that makes a lot of manufactured materials look unpleasantly flat beside it. cluelessincolorado - thanks for sharing that inspiration photo...very beautiful....See MoreNHBabs z4b-5a NH
