State of Emergency...Snow...snow...snow!
Comments (22)Oh, Ms. Luna, I'm so glad I am not the only one to talk to their car. I have named mine Miss Margaret, but call her Miss Maggie when she's in a spunky mood (in short galloping down the road rather than ambling and yes, I pat mine on the dash board when we make it through a tough spot or keep encouraging her with "You can make it, come on girl." I've always said that machines truly have minds of their own with a little mischief thrown in for good measure. Glad you made it home safe and sound. Please give "Bess" an ATTA GIRL for me. Kirk, hope you guys are beginning to thaw out up in the northwest. Loved the plate flowers on the other posting. When my 87 year old Dad walked by and saw your pictures he was impressed with what you had done. Think Spring!! It will be here soon (despite the groundhog prediction). Comments (18)The last time we had any measurable amount of snow was in mid-December (about a foot). Since then, pretty much just flurries now and then. We haven't had a winter this dry for a long time. WE'RE supposed to be the Great White North, but instead, you guys are getting walloped! You may have a few more broken canes in the spring, but, like everyone says, the snow will insulate and give much needed moisture to your soil. Hope you are all o.k....be careful not to overdue the shoveling. You wouldn't want to put your back out just before spring. Judith...See MoreLet it snow, let it snow, let it snow ...Snowmen!
Comments (8)Looking quite festive at your house! We got the cold today, in the 20's after being 69 on Wed!!! The mountains got some snow, but only a few flakes here that melted right away. Love the vignette on the old window (?) and Mr. Crooked Nose is tooo cute! I am also envious of your photography skills, but sure do enjoy your posts! You have been very busy and it shows. Comments (65)Yes, Ann, we ARE in a deep freeze. The tank heater is just keeping the water for the animals clear, just barely. the animals actually went into the barn. I keep the door open and just let them go in as they like, they seldom go inside. Cope will stand out in a blizzard and let the snow pile up on his back and seems to love it. However, it's 3 below right now, going to get down to 20 below tonight I guess. Back up to near 30 by Sunday or Monday. Annie...See MoreYayagal
