How to order from Amazon without large shipping costs.
Comments (1)Hi! If you narrow your search to books then by department say Home and Garden, scroll down on the left side to shipping options and choose Super Saver Shipping. This will narrow down the selections to those that have free shipping (usually with 25.00 purchase) through Amazon. Otherwise I just try and choose books that are really cheap through the sellers, like 3.99 and pay the 3.99 for shipping. Sometimes it's cheaper and the books are usually in good condition. Comments (6)yes, it arrived yesterday just in time for me to cook dinner in it. I made a pot of yellow rice and pan seared a chicken breast. While I've only used it once, at this point I really like it. Nicely made and it has good heft and balance. Last night I cleaned all of the old cooking utensils out of the cabinet. I decide to keep 1 non-stick pan, my old aluminum dutch oven that was my Grandmothers, and a few other smaller items. The rest of the stuff is getting pitched or Freecycled....See MoreAmazon order
Comments (39)I just wanted to report that I went to Joann Fabrics and checked out the Diaper Cloth. I was very disappointed in it as it was not 100% cotton, but rather a cotton/ poly blend, at least that's what my store sells. I'm still planning to make washable non-paper towels and I think what I'm going to do in order to save money since these will be used only for clean up of kitchen messes and wiping sticky kid hands..is..walmart sells a 10 pack of 28×28 flour sack towels for 8$ ....cut each one in four gives me 4 ...14×14 ..so 8 dollors will yeld 40 of these. This is very cheap and cost effective for a fabric that's 100% cotton, absorbant, and bleachable. The size is right even if it should shrink slightly. Will only take minutes to run the edges off on the machine and will be fun for Amiee to do. I think I'll do 3 packs giving me 120 at a cost of 24$ what do you think?...See MoreHave you purchased appliances from amazon?
Comments (4)In my experience, Amazon's appliances prices aren't any lower than those of Home Depot, appliancesconnection.com, or Sears; and Amazon has a much smaller selection. In many (most?) cases, Amazon is just acting as the storefront for a 3rd-party seller and that installation is always additional. I think that if you check the sites I've mentioned, that with delivery and (optional) installation their prices will be pretty close to -- or maybe better than -- Amazon's. Examples: Bosch Dishwashers: #SHXM4AY55N / #SHEM3AY55N Amazon: $750 / $619 Home Depot: $689 / $539 Appliances Connection: $669 / $534 I recently bought a washer and dryer from Home Depot (Washington, DC) and appliancesconnection.com, respectively without problems (I did the installations myself). I bought a microwave oven from HD which it installed. Again, no problem....See MoreMarcy
