We have 2 Elux all-fridges and 1 all-freezer. We purchased them in 2007, but moved in in 2008 and started using them. So, it's 6 1/2 yrs later, and we've had no service calls. 1 of the fridge's interior light has a will of its own, so doesn't always come on, and the readout occasionally tries to give me an error code. From what I could find online, that code is related to the evaporator fan motor... But it keeps working and the code goes away. It's done that for a few years now. I haven't had it checked. Meant to at first, but the fridge keeps working fine, so at this point, I'm figuring it's a false alarm. The other fridge and the freezer have had absolutely no problems. I know this is just one family's experience and opinion, and you're looking for more stats for a greater number of units, but I think they're a good bet. The only reason I might not buy them again is the way the drawers are attached to the shelves above so they're a pain to take out and get clean. Maybe they've changed that by now.

I was prepared to pay up to $2500 a piece for the built-ins. I just never knew that built-ins cost so much more! I actually like the all stainless look :-) I guess this is a YMMV sort of thing. We donÂt have the house yet  I canÂt wait to post the layout for all of you to help me with. Right now, the fridge wall is not seen from anywhere but the kitchen  so that should not be a problem. Unless you all convince me it should be somewhere else! LOL. This is a fairly large kitchen and I just remember seeing kitchens from this site that used the full fridge and full freezer and thought what a neat idea that was. Now, I have the space and wanted to check it out. I never dreamed these things cost so much. I also never considered refrigerator drawers hmmmmÂ. ItÂs really fun thinking about all of this. I go to sleep at night thinking of this, and I lay in bed for 10 minutes every morning doing the same. I find I think clearest at those times. :-)

We had our Frigidaire pair for over 5 years. Per GW advice I bought the 4 year warranty which turned out to be a good buy as the freezer has needed repairs once. No issues with the fridge. We are a family of 4 and love love our twin pair. I have both in my kitchen and love the convenience of not having to think about what I can fit in the fridge. I buy a lot of fresh vegies and it keeps them along with plenty of room for drinks and lunches. I am currently doing a remodel where I designed one wall to contain the twin pair. I have the Thermador gas range, an Electrolux dishwasher, a Miele steam combi oven and a Miele convection oven. No they don't all match but I am one to cook in my kitchen and figure that the next owner will replace them all anyways.
