I have a down throw, lamp, some cozy pillows, a glass of cold water, a box of crochet hooks, a couple of skeins of yarn, a yarn bowl, a charging port, my ipad, my iphone, reading glasses, box of tissues and the tv remotes.

I am on my couch in the den sitting on an wooden back support that I need to avoid nerve pain. Next to me is a three drawer distressed entry table and way too much in the drawers to mention. My granddaughter talked me out of getting a new end table and have this instead. I absolutely love it. This is a big room so it handles it well. I have my footstool which I only use one foot at a time, large coffee table. I have my coffee warmer in the drawer and take it out, plug it in for nice hot coffee all morning. The wood stove is going and the room is full of the scent of Thyme frasier fir candle. Yum.

I have an old fashioned wood kitchen table cut down to be our coffee table. It has a drawer. The end table is a campaign chest design with drawers. So a floor lamp with built in glass table shelf and an electronic picture frame sit on one side of the couch. The drawer in the coffee table has emery board, coasters, lip balm, hand creams, cards, magnifying glass. Campaign chest had knitting and crochet needles, stationery, and extra controllers.

Just my cell phone. I can get off my chair to get whatever else I need.

I sit at the kitchen table, have the iPad, my phone sometimes, lip balm, coffee or wine at night! Have a lumbar cushion on the back of my chair.

A heated throw, a wool throw, small pillow for my back, laptop, three remotes, tissues, coaster for whatever I am drinking, note pad and pen. Ottoman in front of my chair and the table has a lamp on it. And my little dog who loves the heated throw.

From my "spot" on the sofa, I can reach the coffee table with: a small container with two pens, an emery board, a pair of nail clippers, lip balm; and an assortment of crochet hooks; a small box with the TV/DVR/BluRay/fireplace remotes; a set of coasters; a box of tissues; my two currently unread magazines; and the two books I'm currently reading (which travel to/from the bedroom/living room). On the end table, I have: a lamp; my phone charging cable (it runs from the outlet behind the sofa, under the sofa, and onto the end table, where it's attached with a clamp; and my phone. I have three throws on the sofa in varying weights.

imstill, my setup is very similar to yours. All within arm's reach of the front window, so I can pull aside the drapes and see who's driving down the street. Mrs. Kravitz is my alter ego.

Well, now I have my dog sleeping next to me with her head on my lap. It’s part of her nightly routine to sleep while I crochet and she’ll stare me down if any of my things are in her spot.

Hmmm, laundry detergent, along with all sorts of laundry supplies, a high powered flashlight on a headband so I can wear it to watch thru the glass on the front of the washer which some of you know is my TV. Usually a cup of coffee or tea, sometimes a danish. My glasses are kept on my head or I can't find them. My phone which is how I log in here. whatever book I'm reading, and Little Lil.

I do most of my resting or down time in the laundry room and I sit on a cute old toilet which I put a cushion on finially.

My essentials are the remote, a throw and laptop. I don't usually care too much about my cell but you know as soon as I sit down and get comfy someone text me and I have to go dig it out of my purse!!

ETA: OMG, I almost forget my 15x magnified mirror and tweezers.

Right now my tissue box some hand sanitizer and a bag to put my tissues in. I have a stubborn cold. :-(

Haha, lukkirish, yes, that is my heated electric blanket from Costco. I actually have 3 lap-warmers - one of them had just hopped down. With the blanket and 3 cats, I rarely need to turn on the heat!

I have an antique bamboo stand right next to the chair where I read/watch TV in my library. Next to it, are my heating pad (always plugged in!) and a boudoir pillow. On the stand is my corded phone, all the remote controls for TV, Apple TV, radio, box of tissues with nice linen cover, a place for my iPad, and on the bottom shelf, various directories. It's my "control center"!

On table beside my chair...lamp, reading glasses, phone, remote, magazine, coaster, and throw over the back of my chair.

I only have the remote, glasses. IPad, and cell phone. Looks like I need more "stuff". :)

I have a nice electric throw that I put a homemade duvet cover on and keep at the foot of my bed on low. Little Lil sleeps on it and covers with her comforter. I also dug out all the electric mattress covers and electric blankets but no one in the house will use them. I tried just turning them on an hour before bed for the boys and shutting them off once they lay down. Nope they don't like getting into a warmed up bed. I don't understand it.

In the office when using my laptop, I have a coaster for whatever I am drinking, an Emory board and a small office organizer that holds paper for my unending lists and a pen. There are also a couple of framed photos on the desk.

When I am watching tv in the living room, I have a coaster for whatever. I am drinking, the remote, my tablet and on the floor next to my chair is a beautiful hand woven basket that was made by an artist friend. It contains books that I am currently reading or that I am planning to read. My blankie is folded over the back of the chair.

My recliner. Headphones for stereo. Coasters for coffee on table next to it. Cat. Also my nightstand next to bed is cluttered with night guard. Diabetic supplies. Sound machine.

My desk is a red porcelain topped kitchen table....from around the '40's or '50's, I suppose and my desk chair is a metal stool with a wooden seat, although it has a backrest, that I paid $5 for at the dump....saw someone fixing to throw it away. On the table is my lap top, some sour patch candy, my vitamins, a RC cola, and my cell phone on the charger. Also three books, my day planner notebook, pen, and my sneakers....put there so my dogs, who are in for the night, won't chew on them. Usually I have a cat on my lap but she is asleep on the bed, which is next to me.

Unfortunately I don't have a good comfortable spot in the motorhome. I really miss my power recliner. So here laying or sitting in bed I have a little shelf built on the wall with my crochet eyeglass holder, a similar one to hold my cell phone. The chargers for phone and tablet. A container with my inhaler, leg cramp pills, a small flashlight. A bottle of hand sanitizer, a small container of Kleenex. My stainless steel water bottle. A container of orange tic tacs. And a watch that lights up so I can see what time it is when I wake up during the night. I have a small fan blowing on me at all times I am here. I usually have a little note pad and pen near by to jot things down on. And of course my cell phone and tablets. Mia is generally laying on me or beside me. I have several pillows to prop on and throws on the bed.

Raven I have been thinking about having hubs put shelves on the wall near Amiees bed. Right now were using a long narrow sofa table similar to this

Mama if you put casters on that table, it should make your life a lot easier. Plus she can easily have it over the bed when it suits, too....

Chloe, also a good idea except I'd worry about stuff falling off onto her head. LOL... I do have a very heavy safe sitting on the table that I keep her meds in (key on my person at all times)

This little wood box on a three tier end table holds most of my essentials. It contains a 6" ruler, pen, mechanical pencil, a small post it note pad, travel size hand lotion, nail file, scissors, safety pin, 2 paperclips, chap stick, credit card sized calendar, and 2 rubber bands. Also on top of the table is a mini world globe that I asked for this Christmas, a lamp and the house phone and a crossword puzzle book. Underneath is an address book and usually a current magazine or 2 and a book. My lap blanket rests on the other side of my chair on a stool.

The box is 6 1/2 x 3 x 2 1/2 deep. The tiny knot holes are filled with turquoise. My favorite travel souvenir from our motorcycling days.

My ipad and remotes. Trying to do some ornament sorting from the tiny trees I had around the house, so my lap warmer slipped off.

Gosh, my list is incredibly short. My cell phone and a bottle of water. To be fair, these are the two things I always have with me at all times.

Cell phone so I don't have to get up and answer texts/calls. Count me in the warm lap crowd with the fluffer-doodle kitty. Possibly a snack and/or drink. Other than that, the remotes live on the table where anyone can use them. I know, right? A television democracy ;) During this particular season (hello, seed season?), a notebook with all my germinating seeds, be they winter sown or are under grow lights, diagrams of the flower beds and notes I've made about designs in my head or future wants. Later, it might be a book. Or the notebook which houses my blogs that are to be compiled into a book. I yanked them offline, and will turn them into chapters, so they're not readable at the present. So basically, a project is always close at hand? Yeah, that's it.

The TOP of the table is remarkably clear, with the usual lamp, coasters, bowl with remotes for the TV and speaker, and a lip balm and mini lotion. However the small drawer in the table is my stash of a couple of notebooks (my next great idea, lists), a couple of pens and pencils, small calculator, pistol (yep, it’s loaded & safety on in a case), glass cleaning cloth, and a few other assorted items I can’t recall right now. My garden journal is in the coffee table in another drawer close by so I can refer to it quickly and make changes/adds as needed.

I have my glass bottle of water, my ereader, remotes, laptop, my home phone, bluetooth speaker, a pad of paper and magnifying lens because I can't see the display on my phone because it doesn't light up any longer. There should be a pen but somehow it is never there when I need it. Oh yes, and my tweezers to pluck those 4 pesky chin hairs that keep appearing.

Most of you have loooong answers. Mine is short - whiskey. (But I gotta do it quick or the missus is on my case.)

Command Central includes such things as tv remote, laptop, water, vitamins & meds, blanket/throw, paper towels or tissues phone charger, weather station and cat treats. Sometimes have a notebook, though I don't write things much anymore - use pc or digital notetaker. For some of us, it's more of an effort to just get up and go get whatever is needed. Just makes sense to keep the commonly needed items at hand.
