Copper faucet and what color strainer?

Hello, I'm looking for advice for the new kitchen sink. I have purchased a Kohler white cast iron sink and I'm trying to decide on the faucet, between copper and champagne bronze. But either way... do I go with a matching strainer? Or stick with stainless steel. I've read that any other finish doesn't hold up very well. Suggestions?

If you were doing a stainless sink, I would say to do a stainless strainer, even with a copper faucet. But, since you are doing the cast iron, I would match the faucet. I'm not sure if they are compatible, but Rohl makes white strainers to go with their fireclay sinks. You could try that too.

White strainer is an option; I would check w/Kohler to see what they have as options and/or with your plumber/installer. You could pull in the copper perhaps with a copper sink grid in your white sink- functional and love the extra copper to coordinate w/faucet.

I am not a big fan of matchy matchy any way. I read a design article that says "wood goes with wood and metal goes with metal" I have seen many examples of rooms that mix metals between light fixtures and faucets and other elements. I bet most people that walk into your kitchen won't even notice it. They will just be wowed by your gorgeous counters and copper sink.

I just got the bisquit diamond sink and I bought the matching bisquit basket. I am also going with orb faucet. I like the one color look. I am upset that Blanco does not make matching sink grids. I have no silver in my kitchen and hate the way it will look. However I have always used grids and really like having them. I am unable to find one in bisque/almond. so I will probably get the stainless ones and take them out when I am finished cleaning the sink.

leejbryant-Asked DH who installed the basket strainer and he said the drain assembly came with the top removable basket strainer-if that makes any sense? I ordered the Blanco basket strainer in anthracite to match the sink from faucetdirect.com-price was $51.00. Model #441090-I don't have a disposer system. Think model #441095 is if you have disposer. It's $54.00 from faucetdirect.com If you go to faucetdirect.com, click on accessories, then basket strainers, then Blanco, then the anthracite and along the right side of that page it shows the disposer model. I would check some other online sites to see about getting the best price. It's great to hear that someone else has the lapidus granite. Looking forward to your pictures. Hoping for my kitchen to be finished by Mother's Day!!

Hi. I have the anthracite sink with an ORB flange, no strainer as I have a garbage disposal. Got mine off e-bay. It's held up fairly well for 6 months, no chips, but it has gotten dull. I think if it does start to chip or the finish starts to wear off, I'll replace it with a copper one like karencon has in that other thread. I had the stainless one that came with the disposal in it before and to me it just stood out too much and clashed with my ORB faucet. Here are some pics of mine... HTH, Robin

White would be an option as well... but are they as durable? That's the thing I keep coming back to. I do like that option with a copper grid if they have such a thing. Thanks!

We have a solid copper drain/strainer if interested. Most on the market are plated and the plating wears off in a year or so.
