Comments (2)i was lucky enough to find a lumber mill two hours away from us that actually had hard-to-find styles in stock, so there was no waiting and not a lot of extra expense when we ran out of our recycled paneling during our reno. just in case you might be nearby, here's the link. we found them by checking with a local mill (who would have been happy to do it, $$ and 3-4 weeks) but they were very helpful finding someone who had it in stock. Here is a link that might be useful: Richmond VA lumber company...See MoreMildew and Mold throughout house HELP
Comments (4)Mold/fungus needs shade, still air, moisture, warmth and a food source to grow. Unfortunately these conditions are usually found in a crawl space. A large humidifier is the quickest way to stop the mold growth. It should be oversized so it doesn't frost up when running for a long time. You want it to cycle on and off. It must be connected to a hose that goes to a drain because you can't empty a bucket often enough to help. It can be located near the crawlspace because humidity will try to equalize itself throughout adjacent spaces. It also helps to supply dry conditioned air from he house into the crawl space or to exhaust it from the crawl space to the outside thereby drawing dry conditioned air into the crawl space. In a cold climate if the foundation walls are not isolated condensation could raise the humidity level in the crawl space....See Morecoordinating lighting throughout house??????? HELP

Comments (6)Generally, hardware is viewed by room. In a kitchen, it is possible to mix finishes for a more custom look. Really just depends on your taste. If you are matching hardware by floor, you really have nothing to worry about, unless it is all the same size shape and too repetitive and not conducive to the item it is placed on. Down a hallway, it is nice to have unified hardware as they are often all in one's line of sight. Rooms behind closed doors, go for what you like inside, does not have to match what is on the entire floor. My advice for your kitchen if it is not too late, it to find hardware that come in that satin brass finish you like but are handles and not just knobs. I assume you cannot return the ones I see in the picture. My suggestion then would be keep knobs on the bottom drawers, of which you have many and get vertical handles for the uppers in satin brass, just to break add interest and break up the repetition a bit. Ideally, I would do the reverse horizontal or cup handles on lowers and knobs on uppers. But go with what you love....See MoreBeth H. :
