Comments (6)luvmypets Hi again..I have all stainless..what works the best is water and a micro fiber cloth ..I have tried everything out on the market and I found it was getting a build up and only looked good right after it was cleaned.. it will take a a few times cleaning it before you get all the old cleaners off, but once you do, it will all look so much better and be a lot cleaner. When my kids get finger prints on the fridge door, I take out the cloth and wipe it right off ..let me know if you try it..you will be very happy you did! Ree...See MoreHmm... Comments (5)It's me again... :) Thank you for the replies. I spent a lot of time reading up on cleaning stainless steel via google. It's crazy-making!!! I did use the formula of rubbing alcohol, water and essential oil that was suggested in the thread I linked to in the original post. It worked well, but I'm still concerned with how safe it is long-term on the stainless. fori... my manual also says ammonia is a no no. Doesn't Windex have ammonia? Like I said, crazy-making. Maybe I should just use spit polish? plllog... I remember you have chemical sensitivity. Are you able to use baking soda to make a cleaning paste? One thing that I read today is that Arm & Hammer Oven Cleaner is declared "non-toxic" by Consumers Union, for whatever that's worth. I read it here at eartheasy.com. I've wondered about cleaning the convection fan area. My oven isn't installed yet....See MoreCleaning Stainless Steel with Mineral Oil
Comments (14)Hi luvnlife, I use the powdered, though I am careful to follow the directions - wet down the sink first, and sprinkle it on the sponge first - I always follow the direction of the brushed stainless, & rinse well. It works very well on my stainless pans as well (I have heavy weight Cuisinart MultiClad, if that matters.) The only thing I don't like is that it has a slightly acrid smell until I rinse it away. Because of that it always makes me slightly nervous around the "vibrant stainless" finish on my faucet, probably only because I never expected to have such a nice faucet. Never any problem, and as I said above, I love the way the sink "glows" after I dry it with the microfiber cloth....See Morehelp with cleaning grease off stainless steel refrigerator
Comments (11)Look for a product that is a degreasing agent. Any local cleaning supply company will sell you a product that is made to remove grease. Follow the instructions on the bottle. I usually liberally spray the surface with the degreasing agent and let it dwell for a few minutes. Then use a Dobie pad to scrub it before wiping off the surface with a soft microfiber cloth. In case you're wondering, a Dobie pad is a soft foam pad that is covered with a plastic net mesh (no scratches) making it great for loosening grease. They can be bought at most grocery stores, Target and Walmarts. Hope this helps....See More- 8 years agolast modified: 8 years agoCompumom thanked dcarch7 d c f l a s h 7 @ y a h o o . c o m
