I got my stitches out this morning and now...
Comments (19)I've been wondering how you were doing. It's good to hear from you. Yes! Take it easy and do everything you are told! I know guys who didn't and have paid for it ever since. A bit of pain management advice: the first couple of times you go to physical therapy take half a pain pill (or a whole pill) and you'll get more out of the session. Trust me on this. Someone will have to drive you but it'll only be the first couple of times. After that you'll be much stronger and have more endurance. Glad to have you back! "Down Dunkie! Down!" Comments (18)That is so funny, especially because it reminded me of me, sort of. We were pulling a trailer with a small tractor on it and the tongue broke, shooting sparks, at 4 AM near Little Rock, on the interstate. After working on it for 2 hours in the dark, Woody left me there at dawn to guard it while he found a guy to weld it. There I was, in the tall wet grass, freezing my butt off, standing at the fence line hiding from view, scared to death that someone would stop and try to steal the tractor or that I was going to be attacked by a pack of wild dogs, I could hear them getting closer, yikes. lol This was a long time ago. After he got back and got us all fixed up and ready to go, a state trooper finally stopped. Woody jumped right down that poor guy's throat, "where the he!! were you guys when we needed you?" We had seen at least 4 troopers turning around about 50 yards down the highway, right before they got to us, even though they had to see our flashing blinkers. Poor trooper, he started stuttering all over the place. We were ticked. I was soaked up to my knees in 40 degree weather, my lips were blue, it was about 5 hours since it had happened and we weren't happy. I'm glad your friend didn't have any real troubles, Trin, other than getting busted by a cop. lol...See Moregot our CO today! But still at risk for losing my mind
Comments (6)Congratulations on your CO! That means is almost over. Just think how far you have come. and at this point if you pick the wrong cabinet knob, it can easily be fixed/changed in a few years - UNLIKE "should I move this wall???". We have been very frustrated with our GC and my husband complained to the bank who recommended him - and he straightened up. ALL of a sudden we have people building our stairs and 2 loads of dirt to fill in for our driveway which had not even planned for a few more weeks. You are so close - hang in there....See MoreSecond stitch fix much better
Comments (14)I am betting different people have different expectations of a stylist. I have thought about using the in-store stylists at either bloomingdales or Nordstrom but never did. When I lived much closer to Philadelphia, I often ran into the bloomingdales stylists while I shopped and I heard them on the phone with customers. I remember thinking their customer service was exceptional. I don't think I'd be very happy with a stylist who sent me basics.. while I do wear basics, for me to invest the money, I'd want them to stretch me a bit-- within my boundaries and comfort levels, of course-- but still, I'd want them to get me into something I wouldn't normally choose for myself. I did sign up for stitch fix but never placed an order. Part of the reason is that I was concerned about the brands/quality. I did stretch *myself* a bit this fall. I purchased this jacket when it was on sale (still much more than it's selling for now on clearance). It's not really a style or color that I would normally choose. I am still not 100% on board with it but I have worn it twice since I got it and both times strangers stopped me to compliment the jacket and the color. Maybe I DO need a stylist who can see me better than I see myself....See Moregsciencechick
