can you freeze a Polish style cheesecake?

I was given one, but there's no way I can eat all of it. I know you can freeze an American style cheese cake, but those are made with cream cheese. This is not as dense as American cheesecake: lighter and fluffier, though still pretty rich. Always-helpful Google tells me a polish cheesecake is made from dry curd cheese or farmer's cheese. Not that that really tells me that much, not really knowing what dry curd cheese is.

It has a crumb crust, not pastry . Here's a recipe I found:

https://www.thespruce.com/traditional-polish-cheesecake-sernik-recipe-1136928

Looks like the filling has :

  • 5 ounces room-temperature butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large room-temperature eggs, separated
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 pounds dry curd cheese or twaróg or quark cheese, passed through a sieve or processed in a blender until smooth

The eggs whites are whipped to stiff peaks before folding into the rest of the cheese mixture. What with the eggs whites, I'm thinking this might not freeze too well.

Thanks for your advice.
