Forgive me. I know you didn't ask, but I am recovering from an injury this week so I have been playing with everyone's rooms. If you do mind, just chalk it up to Paint Chips being incredibly bored. Just a thought, can you move the sofa so it is sitting facing the other? It would be more welcoming not to have to walk around the sofa to sit down. Your room looks like the perfect size for your ottoman to serve as coffee table for both couches and still leave the right room for traffic. Also, switching locals of the tall lamp with the end table/lamp would keep you from having to see the backs of photo frames when you walk into the room. With the bulk of the endtable in the corner and the leg of the lamp close, the sofas look like they should be able to pull toward the camera a couple feet to give plenty of room still for the tv in the corner. By the way, I vote for the smokey blue green. Thank you for letting me play with your living room.

Thanks everyone! We are installing hardwood throughout the entire downstairs.The revere pewter is actually through french doors off of both rooms but you can't really see itwell from either room so I am not so worried about that going with the other rooms as much. It is mainly this view I want to flow well. I considered van cortland blue for the formal living room but it might be too dark/bold for me. I tend to be more neutral/conservative when decorating. And yes I love the yarmouth blue but don't think I want it everywhere. It looks perfect in the dining room.

Wife and I are looking into repainting the interior of our house. You'll see the paint test zones on the wall scattered around. Our house was painted by the previous owners. I just recently finished staining the cabinets and rebuilding the kitchen island. (Mind the mess in the photos!) Anyway Here's the photos. Looking to repaint the entire Foyer. I was considering painting the inside of the front door Red to match the outside... Still not sure. As for colors for the Kitchen/Living area we were looking for something more neutral in the house. The only requirements my wife has is no yellow (apparently its a couples fighting color) and that we don't paint the fireplace wall something that will wash into our white fireplace (unless we can get a recommendation for that too). Foyer is normal white builder paint Foyer front door wall is currently a warm orange color Kitchenette is a warm orange color Kitchen is Cream Family room is Cream Family room main wall is barn red

I turned the picture right side up for you... I think simple white or off white insulated curtains will work for your space.Ceiling to floor please. Do the same thing for both spaces. Not sure your railing is transitional but it looks like good metal work. You could use them as a style feature, or down play with a more simple drum fixture depending on what look you are going for.
