Round end table instead of marble stand? New table?
Comments (24)Ok. Well my black lamp shade arrived today. I think it's a little too short. I do believe I'm going to change the harp out. It's royally bent anyhow. Notice the crooked shade. Fact - the small table is 20" tall. I think I'm going to change the harp out on the new lamp also and make it a bit shorter. Still obviously need a different shade. The CL lyre table is 22 1/2" Not much taller than the above table. Just checked my email and NEVERMIND IT'S GONE. :( Oh well. Fact - Round table height is 27"H x 22"W I think the black shade lamp looks too tall with the round table? Lamp is 34" I'd rather not part with that lamp. *Note I'm going to buy candle stick things for the arms. Here's a picture with the wingchair and table straight instead of at an angle. I think I like this better. After looking at these pics it's not perfectly straight but you get the idea. My thoughts were to keep the round table where it was in front of the window. Get a different table for beside the loveseat that's not quite as tall.? Does the room look cluttered? Thoughts?...See MoreSofa table lamps & end table lamps

Comments (8)It looks like there's room between the chair and the sofa where the big pile of packing material (styrofoam?) is. The other end is more problematic. You might think about a C table like this one from West Elm (I tried to post a pic but it wouldn't upload). If there's enough clearance under your sofa or loveseat, when you don't have guests you can tuck the base of the C table under the sofa with the table top over the seat, out of the way (but still useful) until you have guests....See MoreNeed help with end tables and dresser to go with Cherry bed
Comments (1)Do the storage tubs have an alternate home? They make it feel less inviting and less like the guest's space. The tall lamp doesn't seem like it would be very useful. I might take it out and move the small grey nightstand there. If the guests are generally there short term, like a weekend, I'd give them a place to set up their suitcase at a convenient level. Hotels will have those folding luggage stands; I prefer a small bench or a chair in a home setting. If I'm only visiting for a couple days, I'm probably not going to take the clothes out of my bag, but it's nice to not have my bag on the floor. A chair or bench is also useful if one wants to use it for it's real purpose of sitting, such as for changing socks or shoes. What are the dimensions of the room? How much space is there between the end of the bed and the wall? Would a console type table block the walking path? How much space between the side of the bed and the door wall? Also, the second doorway, is that to a bathroom or a closet? Also, does this room have no window? Bedrooms are required to have an egress ... Does the adjoining room have a window/egress? It wouldn't exactly be code, but it would be something....See MoreFori
