We installed our FlexInduction in December and I really love how fast and flexible it is. I have never used an electric non-induction, so I can't compare, but it is certainly faster than my old gas range. I can boil 2 cups of water in about 2 minutes, faster if the water is in a wide, shallow pan. Also, the house doesn't heat up as much now when I cook; I will really appreciate that feature this summer. I had read, when I was researching, that pans don't have to be pre-heated, but I didn't find that to be the case. I preheat my pans for a minute or two, much less than before, though. I really love that I can set the time and the burner will shut itself off when the time is up; which is great for rice and my pressure cooker (which I am still getting the hang of). There is a noticeable difference in how quickly I can get dinner done, it really feels like a snap now, compared to my gas range before.

YVW, and thanks for the "Atta Boy"! We recommend that folks download the Operators Manual for any appliance BEFORE you decide on it, and you may have already done that, based on the picture that you posted of the flex induction. Some of the first released flex induction cooktops could only do 3 pots or pans at a time, which to some folks could have been a "Pita", as the non-flex ones could do at least 4 vessels at the same time. I doubt the Bosch flex-induction has that problem, but still nice to have the Operators manual, as well as the installation manual, so that there are no "Surprises" after purchase! Gary

pollydill, we don't have ours yet, but it's sitting in the warehouse waiting on us : ) I've read tons of reviews, making my decision based on GW/Houzz reviews. I can't answer most your questions, but regarding cleanup, most recommend the glass cooktop cleaners as excellent for it. I remember one person had a burnt milk stain that came up with the razor cleaner. During our in-store demo of the range, cheese was purposefully burnt on. The razor cleaner got most up, followed by a wipe-down with glass cooktop cleaner and cloth. All gone. Water was brought to a boil for another demo, and the pan lifted up - I placed my hand on it 2 seconds later and it was only a little warm. Not uncomfortable to the touch. I'm sure any glass cooktop can be scratched. I'd keep salt and other things cleaned up, not scootch pans across it : ) Then the cheese would melt to the pan, not the cooktop if it's induction.

@aspen75, I have that same griddle that I use on mine. I understand and experience what you are saying and it is a bit of a disappointment. However, it has never hindered my cooking abilities on it. I mainly use my griddle for fish, shrimp, or pancakes (DH sometimes uses it for squash and zucchini) and because the heat ends up dispersing throughout the griddle, I never have issues with the food I cook. Sometimes I might have to move my fish or shrimp around as it cooks, but it still cooks. I'm still very pleased with my Wolf and so glad I went with it over gas, which we had before and which definitely had far worse hotspots. I have not tried a cast iron griddle on mine because I like the ease of cleaning the one I do have. Plus, I have a Blackstone on my patio just off my kitchen and I use it a ton in the spring, summer, and fall when I truly need a griddle ;)
