So Confused about my Kitchen Floor

We bought a 60yr old brick home in July that we have taken down to the studs. After removing the Plaster walls that were on on Paneling and removing that along with the baseboards we discovered that the kitchen was once the garage, complete with a REAL Brick Floor! we have remodeled the Kitchen and would like to keep the brick floors. The problem is they are sealed and very dirty.
I've been trying to get the sealer off...it is a very slow process! Stripper...Rinse.....Scrape....Sand. ugh!
I have been told to just prime and paint it as I will never get the sealer off! tried 3 different strippers and results are minimal.
Any one have any success with stripping brick Floors?
Thanks
