Help..need to decide on quartzite asap!
Comments (13)Buy it. Buy it now! It's such a beautiful stone. If I could have found any near me, I would have chosen that hands down. I love my Carrara slabs, mind you, but WP is stuuuunnnning. If you love it, snap it up before someone else does. It should go well with your cabs. Where I live, slab yards sell slabs only to fabricators, but if you put a deposit down with a fabricator then the slabs are yours. Yards here usually don't hold slabs for a customer for a few months. Also, see if you can get a sample of it to test for etching and staining on your own. It should be a fairly trouble-free stone, but they can vary. Good luck!...See MorePlease pick one!!! Comments (42)I would get the red...if you plan to have red in other areas of the kitchen. If you're going to have red in the curtain fabric, maybe red in plates (which I like that look) on the other side of the range. Maybe red around the banquette...then it's not the first thing you'd see in the space. Right now, it's your only color, but that will only remain true, if all your accessories are white, walnut, gray and black. Go for the red...do what YOU love and make it your kitchen. Don't play it safe. It's $250 and if the french gray does have some blue/green in it...then the red will look even better! :)...See MoreShould I Move the Refrigerator?! Need Advice ASAP!
Comments (25)I would not move it. I really like the counter on each side, and you have a nice run of counter on each side of the sink. You need to think about what will be store where in the kitchen, and how you will work in it. You said that the cab/counter to the left of the fridge will be non-cooking things - so why would you want to bring them into the kitchen? If you moved that cabinetry to the right of the fridge, how would you see yourself using it? Do you foresee tasks that you would do in that extra few feet that you can't do in the space you have now (or on the island?) Putting the fridge at the end - well beyond the island - may make it look like the kitchen got stretched, and would throw off the proportions. Now you can load groceries from the island to the fridge - no so if you move it to the end. I just realized that I know people who have exactly the same layout as you! Except their kitchen ends where your fridge is (no cabinet on the left). I've been to their house for Superbowl parties - tons of people, lots of food - and there was plenty of room between the fridge and sink....See MorePLEASE HELP! I need to decide on exterior colors. Comments (32)Miranda, Thank you for the image with the color change. I appreciate the visual. The Soji white in person is really white. I painted the fascia just to see how it would look and it was too white. I painted over it with the Acia Haze. We also live in a Arizona with horse property so my husband doesn‘t want something too light where the dirt will show up. We are liking the Urban Puddy which is the bottom left in my original picture and the big board in the pictures I added. I put up the board I made of Roadside in the morning and post a picture. The painter will pressure wash tomorrow, tape Tuesday, and start painting Thursday. Based on the comments it seems we should go with the Urban Puddy. Or does anyone have a specific color they’ve used and been happy with that is similar to what we‘re all visualizing?...See Moreteeda
