What does a craving for hot peppers mean?
Comments (21)"Posted by harleysilo 7 Roswell,GA (My Page) on Mon, Apr 2, 07 at 12:24 Smoking? You mean like smoking some beef right?" Yeah, what we do is cold smoke with your faviorite brand of wood and or spices like a dash of Rosemary or Basil and then finish them off in a food dehydrator of a real low oven till they are nice and dry and then take a good spice grinder and turn them into a powder. It's great stuff to have in a little shaker bottle when you need to boost the heat level. Plus if you do some large batches you can also use one of those vaccume sealers and seal and freeze the larger part of it so it will last a long time. Safety note...Best do the grinding outside as there's a little blow back when grinding, powdered peppers are just like tear gas, fact is powdered Habenero has been banned in 19 countries by the Geneva convention. I guess powdered Trinidad Scorpion would be a WMD....See MoreBlank Canvas craving style
Comments (10)I would consider moving the t.v. to the wall where the sofa is now. I would also center the rug and turn the sofa 90 degrees to face the fireplace. You could pull the chair out of the corner just a bit. You would then be able to see the t.v. from both the chair and the sofa. I would look for drapes that are close to your trim and fireplace color that are lined so they have more weight to them. If you prefer to keep the arrangement as is, center the rug and pull the sofa up so the front legs are on it as mentioned above. Add a slender console table behind it and find a great piece of art to go over that. Add a floor lamp next to the chair in the corner. I would add a tall plant to the right of the fireplace and an end table with lamp on the opposite end of the sofa. I would also consider adding an oval coffee table in metal and glass to avoid blocking the fireplace and so you can see the rug underneath. I would add navy, cream and taupe throw pillows to the sofa and a cream throw over the back of the chair in the corner. Your mantel could use a piece of art with a pair of candlesticks on one side and a taller glass vase on the other. Do you have a budget for accessories and a few pieces of furniture?...See MoreCravings
Comments (55)I also believe that when we are craving certain things, our bodies are trying to tell us something. When I was a kid (around five years old) I craved canned spinach and dirt. My mother took me to the doctor because she noticed I was eating dirt every time I went outside to play. He ordered some blood work and when it came back it turned out that I was anemic. After the doctor put me on iron supplements, the craving for spinach and the dirt eating disappeared....See MoreAntihistamine and cravings
Comments (3)Irma, I have taken Claritin-24, but rarely. I only take it if I can't function because of runny nose/eyes and feeling miserable. Otherwise I use Flonaise spray to stop the sneezing and running nose. I have a lot of allergies and also live in Florida and am a gardener. Having moved here from NY 6 years ago, I've never been more miserable! Not sure what it is but something here drives my allergies crazy. Since I only take Claritin infrequently, I've never had what you describe. I am a cookie/cake person anyway and try to control it. I can't blame it on anything I'm taking! One thing I discovered purely by accident is Benadryl. Never used it for allergies because it makes you sleepy. But, I have a lot of trouble with sleep. I've taken prescription meds for sleep for many years which worked well, but decided I wanted to stop taking them. I bought over the counter sleep aids and most contain Benadryl. I didn't realize it at the time. Well, Benadryl helps me fall asleep but I notice it also takes care of my allergies the next day. I can actually wake up in the morning without sneezing and runny nose. Took me a while to figure out it has to be the Benadryl sleep aid I take before bed. Maybe try Benadryl before going to bed and see if it carries over the next day and saves you from raiding the cookie jar! Jane...See MoreBunny
