Time for an update!

I know it's been a while! Since y'all have been such an important part of our journey I feel the need to let you all know what is happening.

Finally Wednesday we received the flood insurance check for our structure! That took a very long time, but it has been that way for everyone. Thankfully, they gave us the full amount of our policy as it should be since it was a catastrophic loss. This will make transitioning much easier for us. We have a contract for purchase of the house, we have been waiting for this check before going forward with the sale. The insurance company did not include Bank of America anywhere on the check, it was made out just for the 2 of us! Yes!!! We have not heard anything yet on the contents coverage check and if we will get it or if we will have to enter a legal battle with bank of America for not paying the premium out of our escrow as they were supposed to and causing us not to have our coverage.

Hubby's company has offered to move us back to Dallas if we are interested and have him work there again. We had not considered that because his desire is to retire shortly after the beginning of the year. We shall see. I have daily been looking for properties online in various areas around here. They are flying off the market as soon as they come on. So many people who are now homeless are all looking.

We had an issue with FREEDOM. We suddenly were flooding inside! Like we needed to see water ever again anywhere! I noticed it because the beautiful wood floors were starting to buckle. It was seeping in under the floor. We had to take her back for them to find what was happening so we moved back to my friend's house for a couple of days. They were great at finding and fixing the problem quickly. There was a bad connection in one of the water lines. They replaced the wood floors and everything that was affected. All in all we have been very happy and comfortable in FREEDOM.

Mamapinky had asked me about the washer dryer combo we have. I love this thing! I may have one in my next home, I don't know why more houses in the US don't use these. They are very common in the European countries. This one is made in Italy. It is a Splendide WD 2100xc and I will provide a link for mama and anyone else that is interested. It is so nice to just put clothes in and out one time!

I absolutely LOVE SunnyBella chair! I am so glad I decided to try a chair instead of a scooter. I can get around so much easier and faster. Hubby can assemble and disassemble it in just minutes. My friend and I take it with us shopping and the 2 of us can do it ourselves. The heaviest part is like 30 lbs. We have so many people stop and ask about it. I sold one Saturday, a gentleman came and watched hubby take it apart and put it in the back of the blazer. He said he had looked at one where I bought mine and he was trying to decide. I told him to stop and go get it for his wife. He said he was going to do that lol.

Mia and I have been having some health issues, stress and nerves playing a part I am sure. We have all lost some weight, but Mia can't afford to lose much. She has an appointment Saturday.

When I got that big check in the mail I thought to myself well that burying the money sure paid off this year lol!

We are thankful and just waiting to see what the next part of our journey will entail.
