What should I put here?

Since my kids are out of the house, I want to get rid of my little kitchen table and maybe make this a sitting area? What should i do here?

A couple of nice chairs not too big , a small table and a lamp you can use it for a nice reading spot and if a friens comes a nice spot to sit have a glass of wine and a visit.As anaside your pictures all need to be hung lower you will be surprised how much better they will look.

I'd probably pair with white but many folks like pink or red. If there's an orange, I'd like that as well. They would both be spring bloomers and then green all summer, though different shades of green and the VGB might throw out a few flowers. If you want summer blooms, look at some of the smaller Hydrangea paniculata types such as Bobo or Little Quickfire. We still don't know just where you are, so be sure you live in an area with acid, moist but not wet soil since azaleas need that.

What I think you need is moving the shrub to line up with the window (don't plant too close), a small tree (it would need to go in a bed farther from the garage), a perennial along the house corner and low groundcover filling in the areas near walk. If any way possible you should widen the walk, especially where it connects to drive.

What a waste of space and money! I’d pull everything out and start over. Larger fridge freezer area with full depth over fridge cab the whole width/depth fitted with full extension pullouts and cutting board/tray storage.

What do you need to store? That would help determine what type of piece you could add. Adding two more panels to each window would be a good idea. They aren't quite full enough as is. I would add some chairs and table etc as mentioned above. I would also add a rug for warmth, interest and texture. It would define the space.

Would you want a TV in an armoire or some bookshelves or a desk? Do you use all of the stools?

Loveseat in a deep color that picks up some color in your kitchen, end table with lamp, bookshelves, rug. I love these kinds of rooms!

@sunfeather, we do use the stools and we have a dining room thus the reason to change this little area off my kitchen. the table just gathers mail or bags. I was thinking of a seating area/convo area.

Sofa with a large ottoman/coffee table/laptop work table would get some use. Snacks on the ottoman while playing on the laptop to keep someone company in the kitchen.
