Signature hardware
Comments (76)@jmedgar @starcraft-custom-builders I wish I found this thread earlier. But at least before I have installed anything. I just purchased everything from SH for my new master bathroom. Plumber coming on Tuesday. This is what I purchased. Are these not safe to install? https://www.signaturehardware.com/bathroom/tub-faucets/wall-mounted-tub-faucets/wall-mount-faucet-with-english-telephone-shower-porcelain-lever-handles.html https://www.signaturehardware.com/cooper-shower-system-with-rainfall-shower-and-hand-shower.html https://www.signaturehardware.com/shannon-widespread-bathroom-faucet-with-porcelain-lever-handles.html Thank you sooo much for all your research!...See MoreSOS! Plumbing Budget - typical $$ allotment for fixtures and install?
Comments (29)11k for 3.5 bath and kitchen is very low for a high end home. I would suggest going to a Kitchen and Bath store and make preliminary selection of the all the fixtures. you can do it at build.com too, but it is better to see things in person, and try out few things. Doing the selection now does not mean you will cannot change later, all it means that, you now have a realistic idea of how much things cost and if you change something later it can be within similar price range. Doing just allowance without selecting anything is not very realistic (if you have a fixed budget). We met with all the vendors (plumbing, cabinet, lighting) and selected everything prior to our final bid, so the quote our GC used was "actual quote" not just an estimate. We did change few things but it was within budget....See MoreOn demand water heater issue
Comments (29)The supply to the tub appears to run along the exterior wall (but inside) and the part I can see does not have insulation on the wall next to the water line. In addition, we had a plumber come Monday to give us a quote. the quote included the following: Completely Remove the Existing Tankless Water Heater and Venting • Furnish and Install: o One (1) Navien NPE-180S-NG Tankless Water Heater o One (1) Watts Tankless Water Heater Valve Kit w/ Relief Valve o One (1) Concentric Vent Kit o One (1) Grundfos UP15-10SU7P Comfort Series Recirculation Pump w/ By-Pass Valve o One (1) Rubber Roof Flashing • Electrician to Install One (1) 110V Outlet Next to the Electrical Panel • Test for Leaks • Set Tankless Water Heater Outlet Temperature • Set Recirculation Pump Timer to Meet Homeowner’s Daily Needs • Train the Homeowners on How to Descale Tankless Heater for Future Cleanings • One (1) 32 Oz. Bottle of Haymaker Descaler • Sales Tax The above price does not include: • Roof Patching if the Existing Hole in the Roof Exceeds the Rubber Flashing that We Will Use • Any Piping or Repairs Beyond What is Mentioned above Also he said our gas supply is ready to go for the water heater he recommended. The water heater appears to have the specifications that Jake recommended and he said they have many parts for it locally and it has 15 year warranty on heat exchanger. But do you think recirculation pump is is necessary? Would it be cheaper to buy the pump to delime it on our own instead of having them buy the kit? The seller has so far only offered to reimburse for the washer and dryer after they pulled a switcharoo and instead of the new set they were supposed to leave they switched it for a non working 13 year old set. I am not accepting that offer since they lied about that and the hot water working. Thanks so much for all your help everyone! It truly is appreciated!...See MorePlumbing Recommendation for Shower Head, Hand Held and Tub Spout
Comments (12)Hi Esme Would love to help you out but not sure what additional information I can provide. What we have works, a diverter tub spout, but It is frustrating when guests use the shower because to send the water to the shower you must pull down on the bottom of the spout and it is not obvious that this piece is there or how to use it. I had wanted a single 3-way diverter that would have diverted the water to the 3 outlets but my plumber goofed from what he told me to purchase for fixtures to the way his workmen plumbed the pipes and valve. I have replaced the 3-way/6 function trim/cartridge which had 3 positions with no water (what would have been tub only, Tub + shower head, Tub + hand held) with a 2 way/3 function diverter. My new plumber was refusing to install the 2-way diverter stating that it wouldn't work properly despite the install instructions that the same rough in valve worked with either the 3-way or 2-way. The Trim Kit included the cartridge so the new 2-way fixture included a compatible cartridge. He installed it, just to prove me wrong, and it worked as I expected! He said he had a customer with the same issue and took the instructions and box so he could recommend how to fix her problem. These are Brizo/Delta Valves and Trim. I don't think the set up I ended up with is the best diverter set up. However, I received conflicting feedback from the Showroom, who consulted their Delta Rep, and the Delta Customer Service, that I contacted, on whether or not Option A (3-way diverter) would work. Good Luck! I really felt like I was the first person to want a tub, shower and hand held configuration with the amount of confusion with the Showroom, Delta and my Plumber....See MoreJake The Wonderdog
