Punch recipe for bridal shower
Comments (11)You said "punch" not "cocktail"? Right? LOL! My favorite "fruit-ey" drink if Southern comfort and cranberry juice with lime. You can make it more like a cocktail or more like a punch by varying the ration of Southern Comfort to juice....If I am making a punch bowl of thes tuff for a woman's group I use 5 to one ratio...5 oz cranberry juice to 1 oz Southern comfort....and I add the juice of a lime to every Qt or so of cranberry juice and float some lime slices in the bowl....If I remember fountains, there is a pool that would look pretty with lime slices floating....and because they are floating they don't go into the pump. You can make up a punch with things like bottled Kiwi juice and frozen lemonade ( put through a strainer to remove any pulp and the booze of your choice...vodka or rum. Or a wine punch....I bottle of Reisling to 2 qts of strawberry Kiwi juice....or white grape if you really want it sweet....and float sliced strawberries in it. Comments (5)Marti, my house has different molding in nearly every room. The kitchen and dining area have a thick, rustic black trim throughout. My daughter suggested painting the door red, the same color as the backsplash and eating area-but I think that'd be too much-my kitchen is miniscual. So i think the wall color-it's a bit different than the upper cabs, but still light. I am just a bit worried that with the black, thick trim it might be heavy-I've become accustomed to the door sort of fading away since there's been no trim on it since we installed it. Maybe I'll mock up some normal molding, that would be painted to match the wall/door....See MoreRECIPE: punch for a baby shower
Comments (10)My kids, in their early and late 20's, still say this is the best punch they have every had. Now that they both live on their own, they make this punch for every party they host. MARDI GRAS PUNCH makes about 14 servings, 8 oz each. INGREDIENTS 1 can (6 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed 1 can (6 ounces) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed 1 quart apple juice, chilled 2 quarts ginerale, chilled. raspberry, orange, lime, and lemon sherbet. In large punch bowl, stir together concentrates and apple juice. Stir in ginger ale; scopp sherbet into balls and spoon into punch. You can also float ice cubes in the punch as well to keep it cold. My daugther likes to freeze fresh berries in ice cubes to float in the punch as well. She uses blueberries, strawberries and grapes. Just drops a piece of strawberries, a couple of blueberries or a grape into the ice cube tray, adds the water and freezes the trays of ice. looks really pretty in the punch, especially with the sherbet floating on top. As the sherbet slowly melts, it leaves a froth on the top of the punch that makes it taste even better....See MoreElmer J Fudd
