In my younger days, my cousins & I would adventure in old abandoned farm houses near us. We had some of the best times imagining the events of the day in them.

This site has some awesome photos and stories to go with abandoned places in the southeast part of the US. Some of the places are downright scary with the toxic things that are still there!!

Very cool! Thanks for sharing, I bookmarked the site. I looked at Prince Mongo's castle in Memphis. Seems such a waste. When we were in Kryzgyzstan visiting my DD we stumbled upon an abandoned soviet summer camp. We found a hole in the chain link fence surrounding the property and went in an explored it. It was cool and creepy, propaganda painted on building's walls and such. DD and DH found 2 old tin plates which were still usable and took them home for souvenirs.

The asylum is sooooo dreary and the story at the end of the video is horrific.

Tropicaliste, Iam not in any way connected with Mr. Bernie Dizon. Its just that his work and his technique are very useful that its just right to use it and share it with others who do not know him. I know him personally for the last 3 years because I studied his methods by asking him personal questions regarding plant propagation techniques and also bought some superior fruit trees. I could say that he is one of my mentors adding Dr. Roberto Coronel to that list. I would like to follow Mr. Bernie Dizon success as being a successful fruit nurseryman in the Philippines. I only respect Mr. Bernie Dizon alone not his associates. By the way, If anyone of you or any friend you know who wants to buy a a great fruit nursery site. Iam selling my fruit nursery site. Chijim, Ooh, I like the hydrangea topiary also. It would be so easy to do. I've put a list of what I need on my next shopping list. I also saved the Matthew Mead site to go back and look more. I saw lots of great ideas there. Thank you for sharing this site with us.

Gosh. Interesting for many reasons. Sometimes, it appears that retailers at different levels are selling exactly the same product at differing prices. Sometimes (often, really) the lesser price thing lacks the grace and proportion of the pricier one. Sometimes the two look alike, but you can't tell if the fabric or the construction is very different. Sometimes the materials are not comparable (nickel vx. aluminum, for example). And sometimes the cheaper one is prettier. But to my eye, not very often. The papier-mache stag heads are a good example, I think. The first one is far more graceful and elegant in proportion and attitude than either of the others...the third one is creepy! I wonder how many of the cheaper things are unauthorized counterfeits, and how many are speedily copied knock-offs like the clothes that appear moments after Fashion Week? I have to stop now...I'm cross-eyed!
