Regarding the 7x8" matte black hex tile - if you love the shape and want that to stand out and "pop" then go with a lighter grout. Keep in mind it will be busier. If you want a more uniform look then go with a darker grout color that is close or resembles the tile choice color - this will make it flow and be less noticeable. Either choice is fine - it just comes down to your preference. I did a charcoal tile in my master bathroom and decided on the same charcoal grout color grout for two reasons - 1. I didn't want light grout on the floor (could get dirty looking after a while) 2. I wanted the floor to be very subtle because I wanted to highlight my glass mosaic tile in the shower. So I didn't want busy grout lines on my floor competing with my glass tile on the walls. Here's my dark floor with matching dark grout: Here is the same tile with lighter grout- Sorry, I can't give much help on your other questions but I can tell you, if you design a space with things you love, then you usually can't go wrong. It's your space, pick what feels right.

I think the taupe in the floor tile may dominate the gray as I'm seeing a warm color palette. That's making the gray shower tile the odd man out. I think it also may be too contemporary with either of the shower floor tiles, and your home looks traditional. I could see either of those shower floor tiles with a large format subway tile in white for the shower walls. I also don't like the stripe of the wall tile with the stripe of the accent tile, nor with the splotchy floor tile. So I'd eliminate the gray wall tile. The first thing is finding a counter that works with the existing floor as there are limited counter choices. The colors are okay but the splotchy pattern is a bit similar. But it may be the best you can do. Or use a solid warm white, which gives you the same counter you have in quartz, and you're probably ready for a change. A white vanity will make that quartz appear a little warmer and that might be a nice way to separate the counter and floor. Are you keeping that vanity and painting it? Or ordering new doors and drawer fronts?

Hanks everyone! We still haven’t decided yet! Contractor hates us! It’s Bedrosian’s Classic 2.0 Bianco Carrara polished. The floor tile is their 2x2 mosaic in matte. The liner real Carrara marble chevrons. We did a sample board and the marble looks awful with all of the grays, but not sure about mixing white grout for the liner and gray grout for the field tile.
