trying to pick paint colors....prairie style home - tans?
Comments (2)I'm not familiar w/ any of those colors but this past Spring I painted my downstairs in various shades of tan and off-white and I really love the results! Except for my dark brown LR - I must repaint that. I used the following BM colors (not suggesting them for you but just an example of how well I thought it turned out): Office: Jonesboro Cream Hall: Porcelain Ivory (or Ivory Porcelain - I always forget) Both are off the same strip. DR is Winter Wheat - 1 color strip over from JC & PI. I am VERY pleased w/ how it turned out!...See MoreNeed help picking neutral (whole) home interior paint color
Comments (101)Comedy of errors (only after we had a few drinks was it comedic) 1. We greatly underestimated the effort to paint textured walls, especially on the ceiling. That and we're 15 years older than many of the projects we've done the past. 2. Turns out we got the wrong color paint. I'm not sure why I had a different color paint stuck in my head and even though I checked color swatches I still got it wrong. And now that we're going to pay someone to do it I definitely want to make sure the color is right. Only after I came back to this post did I realize I gave the store the wrong color. We're going to suck it up and pay someone to do it which is good because that also includes trim and doors. Although now I have to take a week off of work. Good news: we can donate the paint to Habitat for Humanity ReStore....See MorePlease help me pick a color to paint my house!
Comments (51)Hello all - so we have a couple weeks to finalize the paint color and I am really leaning towards SW Naval on the siding & Colonnade Gray on garage door. Naval is a bit lighter than the original navy I posted earlier (Anchors Aweigh). As mentioned the shutters are less than a year old and we don’t want to paint them. The dark navy should hopefully tie in pretty well with the shutters. If they don’t we can always paint the shutters later. The front door has been ordered and will be painted the same as siding. Thoughts?...See MoreHelp me pick house colors. Please help me pick house colors!
