entry way mirror help
Comments (9)Home Depot carries those stained glass murals you put on windows - check in the window shade section of the store. You might be able to find a pretty design for all six mirrors. Have you tried using a "steam machine" to remove the liquid nails they used? You could talk to a clerk at Home Depot, hardware store or a paint store and see what they suggest to take them off. Get online and type in "liquid nails" for the company that makes it and write them a letter asking what they suggest you use to remove them. Are you able to use a garland vine of some sort, different for each season or holiday, to spurce up the area in between the mirrors so it's not so bare and it can take away from what you don't like about them. Maybe put candle wall sconces between them so the light reflects off the mirrors and makes it more prettier. Type in "decorating with mirrors" in your web browser line and maybe you'll find some that your really like. Hope some of these suggestions help. Sal...See MoreNeed help with a small entry way. Comments (7)I don't mind the table and mirror and can't really think of anything besides art that would fit on that wall. Can't see the table details well but could it be painted? How about red to match your lovely door? What would say "fresh and cozy" to you for that space? Have you thought of a new light fixture? A runner and a larger rug in the entrance could look good. I don't find the clock visible from the door to be welcoming so I'd be tempted to remove it....See Moreentry way help needed
Comments (4)Make sure bench id high ebough and deep enough that an adult would be comfortable siiting on to change shoes, boots, etc. Hools to the side of the bench so a hanging coat or jacket would not interfere with seated area. Older visitors may also do better with a bench that has arms to assist with transferring to and from a seated position....See Moresmall living room, no entry way. furniture design help needed
Comments (5)@Maddy Jens congrats on the house it looks beautiful! I grew up in a 1929 bungalow with no formal entry. Your new space looks like there may be room for an entry to the right as you walk in. A bench (with storage) below the window and a thin profile console table with mirror on the wall to the right of the opening to the dining room? The fireplace seems to be the focal point of the room. Keep a couch with or without chaise add-on on the wall and perhaps round coffee table with two chairs facing the couch? If you need desk space that could go where the rocker is now, against the wall perpendicular to the fireplace wall. Beautiful house! Enjoy making it your own :)...See MorePorter Edun
