Alaska cruise

My husband and I went on an Alaskan cruise for our honeymoon in 2014. We went on Holland America, and we were in a fancy suite for the occasion. We absolutely loved everything about it - the service, the food, the room. Alaska was beautiful and we really lucked out with crystal clear weather.

My question is this: we are thinking of going back for our 5th anniversary in 2019, but opening it up to other family members who might want to join us, like my in-laws, grandparents, and my brother's family. The challenge is we will have a range of ages from 3 years old to 80+, as well as a range of budgets.

Since we went "first class" last time, i'm concerned my memories won't be a valid representation of what a normal experience would be like, and if I'm inviting family to spend thousands, I want to make sure they have a good time.

Has anyone done an Alaskan cruise? Can you recommend specific cruise lines or ships? Any experience with multi-generation and cost-conscious limitations?

Thanks in advance. It's a little early (a lot of the lines don't even have schedules for 2019 yet) but I want to start thinking about this so people have plenty of notice.
