Help me with my powder room! (PICS)
Comments (13)Thanks you guys! Cooperbailey I was tipped off to Lowe's lighting by the Just Beachy blog - I never would have tought it! I was eyeing the one you have in your kitchen for my dining area (small table.) But it won't work with what I'm doing for the kitchen island lighting, which is in very close proximity. Nanna I bought the mirror years ago at a place in Boston called IN Home Furnishings. FANTASTIC store, albeit a tad pricey, usually only bought stuff on sale. It's hanging as an accent in my powder room in my PA house. It is pretty small and I'd be afraid the wrong scale for the sink - it's 11w x 15h at its furthest points, and the mirror itself is only 5x7. There's a shop here in town that has lots of white washed mirrors with great gesso (or sometimes carved) frames, I'll take a peek at what they have. If I find one I like I could silver leaf it. Or not. ;-)...See MoreHelp me finish the powder room - I need tile help.
Comments (3)I love the godmorgan sink for their clever plumbing moving the ptrap to the back so that you can have drawers. I got one but my plumber threw up all over it for the cheap quality of the plastic in the plumbing. He did agree about the design and is building ours with the ptrap in the back so that we can do drawers using better quality stock parts. Mirrors.. I would suggest picking this first as this will drive much tile you need. Have you looked at IKEA mirrors. They are a good price point. Also home goods etc.. Faucet.. Online prices are much better.. Do you like the look of the faucet in the picture? I went with a simple version from a good quality brand for my regular bathrooms with a single lever. For powder room, I also wanted it to be fun and did wall mounted in antique copper....See MoreOT-Help Me Find Fun Hooks for Mud Room
Comments (17)I'm sorry I missed this post. I'm on mom's dial up so a search is a ummm (ok it's slower than molassas on a frozen arctic day). We're in Seattle to take the little guy to the hospital again. But, I will tell you my knob (and hook) source...I buy almost everything at Knobgallery.com. I always look in the discount section first (great deals) and then then I move to looking through each designer's options...but you could narrow the search by entering "hook". My kitchen knobs are Anne at home. Many (like the big moose antlers) would work great for hooks because the horns stick out so far. I have a pig and a rabbit that do the same. I also just purchased some great hooks (animal) from restoration hardware for the cat and dog stuff. They're pretty cute. I'll do a famous search (I love quests LOL) as soon as we get back to alaska...but that's not until Wednesday or so. I adore that cabinet by the way...I have mudroom envy right now!!! And those darned kids are pretty cute. You know we're trying to have another pretty hard (many many drugs LOL) maybe you could spare one? :oP...See More"Fun" powder room
Comments (27)Like the geometric gray/silver cubes... but you might want to put wall paper only on the one wall without the door and without the plumbing for the toilet or sink. If the toilet is beneath a window, window treatments are an opportunity for fun ideas. If not, you might want to create a shallow "built in" cabinet a half foot or so above the toilet tank rather than wallpapering that wall, especially if you have only a mirror above the pedestal sink rather than a cabinet for storage there. A cabinet above a toilet could have a faux window cabinet door, perhaps using frosted glass, perhaps lighting the interior of the over-the-toilet-tank cabinet with a cool LED light that could serve as a night light, too. ....See Moresarahjrem
