Help with pricing my flea market detergent
Comments (15)I'd cute up a few jars for display. Again: brand it as Mama Pinky's Suds. When they ask what's in there tell them you are a laundryite and over the years you've put together a laundry detergent collection. But like Imelda Marcos with the shoes, you must do some editing -- your husband has decreed. So here you are at the market with your suds. The bags are a good deal. You might just print up some quick "laundry tips" like how much detergent to use per load, how to feel for the slippery water etc. Or not. I would tape those to the back. No cost; extra value. Then the "jars" are "special edition." Not for sale. That will guarantee you can get $8 for each one because they are just to dress the table -- not for sale. If someone must have one then you are doing them a favor. I'd also take that clear package sealing tape and tape over the zip loc bag opening. That tells people the bags are sealed and safe. You made and "secured" them yourself. I'd put the zip locs in some type of towel-lined basket. Add a few clothespins somewhere for dec. Or, use the clothespins to create 3-paks for $5? You don't want to give it away but you will recoup well. They get the clothespin....See MoreMamaPinkys Laundry Detergent Flea Market
Comments (36)I called my local community action program to check into Meals on Wheels for these folks..geesh they have to call themselves..guess I'll take a picnic to them at the flea market this weekend and just come out and tell them about this program and give them the #. I'm also taking a styrofoam cooler with ice and a few quarts of my soup to take home along with some ham slices, and a loaf of my banana bread. I'll also send a loaf of homemade bread that I'll pick up sat morning at the bakery. This is such a small amount that I wwon't even miss it but I'll know they are eating for a few days. I probably can't do this every week..but somehow I'll get them involved with the meals program ...than I will call it a day. One other thing they save aluminum cans that they haul into the scrap yard...I talked to the drunk across the street yesterday and he's going to save his beer cans so that approx 30 cans a day. Lol. Enough about this onto laundry....See MoreLaundry questions for Mama Pinky
Comments (41)Mama, my BIL does all the ironing at their house, he finds it relaxing. He sets up the ironing board in front of sports on TV and irons away ;0) All his dress shirts (does a flawless job), anything else in the household that may need it. He doesn't cook or clean, hates to shop, but does the laundry and irons. They've just finished building a weekend home and he has his own laundry room there. Washer dryer, deep sink, cabinets, hanging space and folding counter, good lighting and a wall mounted TV. DH insists on creased jeans, and I'm talking work jeans so we've agreed he will do his own. He'll iron his own casual stuff, khakis etc, but if he needs a dress shirt or dress pants I'm fine pressing those for him....See MoreMamaPinky...
Comments (6)The only thing related to low-water standards on the redesigned SQ toploaders is that they have an automatic water level sensing function which is required to meet the standards (and also choice of three manual levels). The fill levels are not low-water, it fills plenty full. IMO it may fill a bit too much via auto-sensing for a some loads. The mechanical design is changed to allow for the auto-sensing. There are videos on YouTube of a 2018 machine running various types of loads....See Moremamapinky0
