Will this living room TV set up work?
Comments (8)Hmm, to be quite honest, it doesn't seem to me as the most ideal solution. And I'm saying this purely out of aesthetic reasons. From what I've seen the TV in most cases is set in the middle of the room, and in your case, that would be right onto the buffet. To me, it just doesn't seem natural to remove the TV from there and put an artwork instead. Also, putting your TV on the side will not be practical, as per the position of the furniture. Maybe you can think of an option to put the TV on the buffet and the artwork on the opposite wall from where you've put the TV?...See MoreLiving Room Set Up Help
Comments (2)sell the couch and get one that works for the room and allows tw chairs opposite. Your fighting wth room with that sofa and that is why you can get a layout you like. I assume that is a 2 piece sofa. try taking away one peice and then play with the layout. also provide a floor plan and pictures of the whole room if possible....See MoreSmall house living room set up
Comments (4)The furniture layout could be improved…the tv is too far away from the seating area. Better to have the tv in the seating area, and the large wall where it currently resides, outfitted with entryway furnishings with lots of storage…thinking wall units flanking a console component with lamp/mirror/decor....See MoreLiving room set up
Comments (11)Without a floor plan, I can't tell exactly how much room there is on the stretch of wood floor that's opposite the fireplace (in your pictures, it's left of the rug and ottoman--maybe it's between the kitchen and living room?) but could you move the couch that's currently against the windows so that it faces the fireplace? Rotating the sofa 90 degrees would give you more space in front of the tree and make a nice cozy spot facing the fire. It's a low enough sofa that it wouldn't block your sight lines from the adjoining room to the fireplace, and there's no reason the furniture has to be against the walls. It would also open up more of your window view....See More- 6 years ago
