would be a matter of time before he was run over!

Cats escape. That's no excuse for kidnapping which is what this sounds like.

Hoping the owners were contacted and agreed to the rehoming.

This is Rocket. He was 15 when he passed in February. He was a holy terror when he was a youngster, but the sweetest kitty ever and he loved Fred very much.

We don't have cats at present, but her is one of my Mother's cats, Tomcat, high atop his perch:

Linda I love that picture of y'all! Pretty kitties every one has. We don't have any kitties now all of ours passed on to the rainbow Bridge. I love them though and do does Mia. Someday we may have another.

Bonnie and Clyde rescued at 2 weeks after someone tried to bury them. They are now 2 1/2 years old

Beautiful cats and stories. We too, have a kitten that ran into our house and we just let her stay. our street is too busy for outside cats, but we do have several of them because at the time they were born the animal "shelter" here was nothing but a cruel killing warehouse. All of our purr babies are rescues.

Wailin' (pictured below)... heard a pitiful crying outside, it was raining and we couldn't see her or find her. Next day, even more pitiful cries and wails, she finally came to the front porch and was all eyes and you could see every bone down her back. We gave her some wet food and she would take a bite and cry. We took her to the vet and she spent 8 days there. She has grown into a beautiful cat but i don't have recent photos. These are just home from the vet.

Beautiful cats......each and every one! The cruelness of some people boggles my mind. Thank goodness for people that open up their hearts and homes to defenseless animals. Thank you!

I wish I had a way to take pictures. We feed a huge black neighborhood cat that we named Planter because he loves to lay in one of the planter boxes on our deck. We feed any animals that come around. Last night we had an adorable opossum, and one night a little raccoon. We've had many, many animals our whole married life of 47 years...dogs, cats, chickens, and ducks. I worked with our humane society in Ohio raising kittens until they were of adoptable age. I loved it. Each and every cat/kitten pictured here is just beautiful. Thanks for sharing your furbabies with us. Yes, to me all animals are babies. They just have 4 legs instead of two and are loved just as much as human babies.

Oh my gosh! Hope things turned out okay for silly cat. Is she what they call a diluted calico? Very pretty.

In my area, there is a stray hold law. Authorities must be notified or the found cat or dog must be turned in to local animal control or shelter. Only after 7 days may the found animal be re-homed.

This is the mother to the kittens DH brought home last fall. I tried to name her Lucy but Dh had called her Mama for so long that it stuck. She's a sweetheart.

They ARE all photogenic. Facebook did a video of 2017 for me and I was surprised that my Maine Coon was half the video. lol He's so darn cute and knows it.

My acquisition early this year. Had his first birthday recently and is calming down a little. It's exhausting checking the door for box elder bugs, mosquitoes spiders and flies.

Here is our Sebastian, he was my Father in Law's cat and is getting up there in age. We love him to pieces! His favorite perch is my desk, lying on the warm laptop.

We very recently adopted an abandoned cat and have named her Sox. She's thankfully already spayed, we've taken responsibility for having her vetted, vaccinated, registered and chipped. Last Thursday night while we were letting the dogs out into the backyard, she jetted out the door with them and disappeared. We were just devastated. I posted on the local animal shelter Facebook page and on Nextdoor. No true sightings. Hubby hung 15 flyers in the neighborhood and yesterday morning our back neighbor called. She had been outside enjoying her coffee when Sox just climbed over the fence and joined her for some cuddles! She is back home, exhausted from her adventure but blessedly safe! I'm not sure how we'll cope with her insistence on getting outside since we have to let the dogs out, but we WILL figure out a way. Debby's story about keeping a lost cat was really on my mind while she was missing. Here she is when my husband found her after the tenant moved. We did not chip and register her until we got confirmation from the former tenant's daughter that they had indeed left her behind. Who could do that to such a sweet kitty?

Our two babies sure are growing. Milo is on top of the tower and Meeko at the bottom.

They've really grown and are gorgeous kitties, Linda. So, only Milo has the fluffy tail?

Yes, PKponder, only Milo is fuzzy and has the white spot on his chest, the fluffy tail and is cross-eyed. He is so very soft. Meeko has shiny smooth hair, feels like silk, and has the skinny tail.

Loving all the pictures! I didn't have any pictures of the cats I haven't already shown. Founds this one that doesn't show their faces, but here's yin/yang (Murphy and Maggie). Boy his belly is fat.

They are all just so precious and beautiful.
