I love the TP holder, how the towels bring all the colors together, and your attention to the small details. I added the TP holder to my own bathroom notes. We are doing a gut in a year or two. I will also be using Swanstone for walls, but also using their ADA floor with the trough drain at the outer edge. I plan to take the wall panels to the ceiling. Is the cost so much more to do so, or did you simply like the more traditional look of lower shower walls? Mine is in an alcove, so I think that makes more of an argument for going all the way up for me, too. Are you loving the wall panels? Is the niche working well for you? I can't wait to get rid of my wire shampoo bottle hanger! I had a Toto with the special glazing inside in my last house. Don't you find that you don't need to use the toilet brush as often? I miss mine. I might steal your idea for the crown molding, too. I really admire your use of ecologically conscious materials. That is harder to do in a bath. Great Job!

Jam: The Lugano floor by DuChateau was wonderful! It hid dents and dog scratches and the color was exactly what I loved...and it was a great price! If you are fine without sand-in-place flooring (expensive!), then you should go ahead with this flooring. I am definitely going to have exactly the same brand/color when we re-do our new house in April. It got raves from relatives and friends, and while that certainly wouldn't be my deciding factor whether people thought it was beautiful, the fact that it was so darned great for our common area IS the most important thing. The variation in color didn't bother me...as you saw from the pictures, once installed they blended pretty well. Admittedly I did "throw out" three boards that were too dark. During install the workers put one in and immediately I saw it and said, "Not that one!". The rest were all good. I did find another oak flooring that came close to the color I wanted--it was a white oak with an oil finish but was more than twice the price. Since I had a 42 x 22 ft room, that added up pretty quickly and I opted against it. I think it was a custom stain too. They also needed 3x the amount of time to install since it was not engineered, but full wood. I can look back in my files and see what the name of that company was if you are interested. We didn't have the budget, but you might.

In kids bathrooms, size the mirrors proportionately to the sinks and cabinet doors below. I'd do a rectangular white frame to match the cabinets. They can be replaced with larger when desired. As for hardware, I'd want it to be chrome. You didn't ask, but flat panel drawers are ideal in a bathroom. The shaker flat edge will catch lots of dust and stuff and be harder to clean as well.

The shower will be smaller to eliminate the pinch point. The window which is very low to the ground will be replaced with a new window that will be above the counter. I have spend to many nights stumbling half awake to the bathroom and shocked I have never fell out! Good suggestion on the grommet hole I would not have thought of that. The plumbing fixtures and cabinets have arrived. I am using the Kohler Margaux brushed nickel fixtures for the sinks and showers. I am really happy with the tiles that I have picked out and plan to use the 12 x 24 on the shower walls and floor. I have looked at hundreds of lighting fixtures, and have no idea what I really need. I have two separate sink areas, on the left by the toilet will be my husbands sink and the right will be my sink and vanity. Do I need to use the same mirrors and lights? The room is narrow so I thought I would use large mirrors or a framed mirror like this photo. I found a sconce that I really like but not sure it goes with the style faucet that I have ordered or if it will be to small compared to the large mirror. Thinking about this hardware. Would
