Have a shank ham on the burner to simmer some of the salt out of it. Will bake it this afternoon. Fresh pineapple, garden green beans & garlic smashed or sweet potatoes are in the plan.

It's rainy here too. I've just started a pot of chili.

I need to cut back on my baking. :)

Chicken noodle soup. I made it a few weeks ago and cut down the liquid so it's almost like a casserole type of thing!

I have pizza dough in the fridge that I made a couple of days ago, and so I will be making one pizza and one stromboli. I also have some leftover grilled tuna from last night, and I will be making a tuna salad with that, possibly a Salade Niçoise, or some variation of that. I do have Niçoise olives, and I cooked some green beans last night to have with the tuna. I would not be cooking the pizza and stromboli if I had not already made the pizza dough, but I went shopping yesterday (for my senior discount at Bristol Farms) and could not resist the tuna. The tuna was from Fiji, where I will be going this winter, and so I wanted to get a previous of Fijian food.

I roasted a chicken yesterday so today I'm using the leftovers for soup. I roast it with lots of herbs on a bed of white and wild rice with some sherry to keep it from sticking so that's all going in.

Not sure, but it's very dark and rainy here... at the moment I'm thinking about blueberry-yogurt pancakes and fried eggs. :)

I was going to be making quiches, but my whole house smells of the fires which aren't anywhere near here except as the wind blows. I have some shaved beef, so I think I'll grill it with barbecue sauce and epazote. That should pair well with the smoke. ;)

I've been canning "unstuffed cabbage rolls", and we had what didn't fit in jars for supper, along with homemade bread.

So, I suppose I'd better shuffle off and post my pictures on "What's For Dinner", since I haven't done that yet.

Picked up a couple eggplants at the farmers' market. Think I'll make eggplant gratin and haricot verts with roasted pecans.

Currently snacking on sweet potato chips (But I always keep these around to satisfy my sweet/salty/crunchy cravings).

On the table tonight, Cuban pork roast with the usual suspects.

Yesterday I made 6 chicken pot pies with lots of veggies and froze them for cold winter week night dinners.

Today, I am making Unstuffed Cabbage Roll Soup. The cabbage roll thread intrigued me; I've never made nor eaten cabbage rolls. Wasn't up to that amount of work for something that I've never tried so thought I would take a shortcut with the soup.
