Yes the news last night ran a story about how pumpkins are being trucked in to fields from neighboring states. They said the average larger pumpkin is now $2 more than previous years. Some quotes from the article: Massachusetts farmers and agriculture experts said as much as half of the state's pumpkin crop may have been washed away by heavy rains in May and June. "Some fields were so wet that the seeds didn't germinate," said Ruth Hazzard, a vegetable specialist at the University of Massachusetts Extension Agriculture and Landscape program. Sorry to hear this, unfortunate situation for sure. Wiring could be involved but there's no suggestion of that on the list of resolutions for Fault 40. You've already replaced the RPS and controller ... but I'm wondering if somehow it's the wrong RPS ... which could contribute to the spin speed problem being as the RPS is directly responsible for feeding the rotor speed to the controller. Basket RPM during spin can be checked via diagnostics. A tangent thought ... any possibility that fluid has leaked from the integral balance rings at top/bottom of the basket? There will be malfunction if the basket weight is not within spec. I'm not understanding why your servicer wouldn't have info on all the fault codes. The same fault codes apply as for phase 7 agitator machines, plus a few codes specific to AquaSmart, mostly related to the different pump. Ahhh, I also just noted info that there have been changes on the suspension rods, and the latest rods require a specific controller version for proper OOB "bump detect" function. If the controller on an older version machine is replaced to a newer version controller, the suspension rods must also be changed. Supposedly a replacement controller *includes* the correct rods, but that may depend on what part number/kit is used to order the controller. This could possibly affect spin speed and basket sensing. Nancy, I did the roasted red pepper spread once. Just once, and it was a disaster. My broiler on my oven is on the bottom, as in on the floor. I have to lie on my stomach on the floor to use the broiler, which is not....well....optimum. LOL I did manage to get the peppers roasted and was told that if I put the roasted peppers into a paper bag and folded the top shut, it would steam and the peel would come right off. Yeah, sure it will... I picked up the bag, the bottom fell out from the moisture of the peppers and the peppers went all over the kitchen floor. I picked them up, dumped them in the sink and tried to peel them, but almost none of the peels came off. So, when I found a jar of roasted red peppers for less than $3 I never looked back. I did plant sweet red peppers this year, but not a single one has turned red and it's going to frost Wednesday night. Our growing season is pretty short here in Northern Michigan, so my peppers seldom ripen, but this was a particularly bad year. So, my first and only experience with roasting those peppers was such a disaster, I swore I'd never do it again. And I don't grill. At all. Elery will use the grill, I refuse to touch it. The last time I tried to grill a steak I had the da*ned thing on there for 45 minutes, and I like my steak rare. It was rare, all right, it wasn't even warm. When Elery came, it worked perfectly, of course. He said I "turned it on too fast". Whatever. Anyway, for all those reasons, I don't grow, roast and can red peppers. (grin) Annie
