Thinking about a burr coffee grinder...

I am not a coffee snob. The grinder would be for iced french press lattes only, and only because my current blade grinder leaves grounds in the coffee. The grounds don’t bother me too much.

I use cheap eight oclock whole bean coffee or whatever else I can get for 50 cents an ounce. I have a le creuset french press which I love because it is super cute. I use 4 heaping tbsp to make the french press, then refrigerate unused coffee for two more days in a glass pitcher.

My main coffee indulgence is nespresso with heavy cream and sugar. That won’t change. I do one of those in the morning. I do the iced french press after for the longer dose of caffeine through the day and I flavor it into something like a milkshake (not thick, about 1/4 whole organic milk). Frequent stirring mixes in the tiny grounds.

Will I notice a big difference with a conical burr coffee grinder?

I picked out the $100 bodum at crate & barrel and they are offering double rewards this week so I might go for it. I looked at the reviews for cheaper ones and some said results were not much different than a blade grinder or they broke. Don’t want manual. Don’t want expensive.

Thanks for any advice! Feel free to talk me out of this purchase. :-/

(Oh, I am not a coffee SNOB, but I don’t drink coffee I don’t like. I have been avoiding american coffee - too watery. Must have cream or milk and sweetener too. Sometimes chocolate syrup and other flavorings. Yeah, it’s dessert.)
