Comments (150)Happy Pre Thanksgiving everyone!! Or should I say Prep Thanksgiving, lol. Half the day we're chopping and getting ready for tomorrow. We have 9 coming for dinner tomorrow. Kids are so excited!! Jeanne, I want to add my THANK YOU!! for this wonderful swap!! Sorry for my delay in mailing, but, I did love it :D Annie, THANK YOU for jumping in with all the wonderful games :) So much fun!! I hung my sparkly Lady Liberty up so she can enjoy Thanksgiving. Tomorrow night we put up the tree with family. A tradition we have had since I was a very little girl with my grandfather. Don't know how much "Black Thursday" shopping I'm going to get done. Probably none. My kids want such off the wall things this year, that most stores don't even have what they are looking for, lol. Found a great science catalog for some of Billy's things, still looking for Taylor, lol. Love my unique kids :D Have a great day everyone!!! vina...See MoreNew Problem -- Memory Card Slot not recognizing SD
Comments (9)mike_kaiser And genes, Thank you so very much for responding. Sorry about my delay with a response but I was waiting for my actual laptop to get back. Was on another computer yesterday while my son had my laptop for work (he dropped his) but wanted the actual laptop with the problem in case there was someting else suggested here to try. I went to the product page as you suggested, mike_kaiser, but the driver listed is exactly the same one that is listed in my Device Manager so I didn't bother with that. No exclamations on any of the things in device manager---I even clicked each one to open each one all the way to see what was inside each main title. Yes, I rebooted several times. I even raised my virtual memory because I had received a message that it was too low while I was scrolling around Ebay. I rebooted after raising the virtual memory but still the little slot won't acknowledge the SD card. The little light on the slot does flicker. I guess that means it's working? genes, No, I haven't tried another SD card. But yesterday my neighbor took my SD card and loaded the photos on her computer. She said she is coming over today with a little mini flash drive (?) that I can stick in my laptop and download the photos to this laptop that way. This means the SD card itself isn't broken, right? Again, Thanks to both of you for responding!...See MoreMy New Recipe Card Box :)
Comments (11)Thank you, everyone! Trudy, I thought that was the perfect recipe to display with the box! LOL I had to use two cards for the Strawberry Shortcake (very detailed instructions) but I cannot wait to make some of these. I have to start looking up some more recipes soon. Been reading some of Mom's cookbooks like crazy LOL. I am planning to use some of these recipes next time I go visit my sister and her kids. I am planning on making this dinner, Caesar Salad with homemade croutons and dressing (the croutons have their own recipe and the dressing is with the salad recipe) Chicken Fried Steak Mashed Potatoes Gravy Corn and for dessert....Strawberry Shortcake! Comments (9)Sling does this. For Dish Networks customers, it's free and built-in to some box models and an easy plug in for others. The feature, Dish Anywhere, allows you to watch all the content available on the box (live, DVR'd programs, or on demand) from any network connected PC. There are apps for Android and IOS to watch from any Tablet or smartphone. There's a Kindle Fire app too. I have it and use it all the time. Family members out of town, and one in another country, use it too. We removed a TV from the kitchen because we can use a large screen laptop that can be placed anywhere and oriented in any direction. We also use it outside in the shaded part of our patio (screens are hard to see if in direct sunlight). Within the house and with a fast enough internet uplink speed for viewing from elsewhere (which I have), the quality is HD and the same as a TV directly connected....See More- 8 years ago
