I'm still waiting on my small orders of Blue Jay and heuchie Sweet Tart from Inthecountry and of Cameo and heuchie Ginger Snap from Casita Azul. Wah! I want my plants! There is no forecast of any frost for the next 2 weeks here in Queens, so I went ahead and did some tension-relieving buying annuals and planting them Friday before the Sabbath (yay, it starts much later now with going back to regular time!). I planted a beautiful coleus with burgundy, yellow and green with a bright yellow tuberous begonia (4/$10 annuals sale at Home Depot!) and a light purple calibrachoa in the blizzard white pot that is the background for the wire Garden Cat. I planted the remaining coleus plants along the border of the Neighbor's Plot, alternating with mixed pink/purple/yellow petunias and mixed pastel alyssum. I put in a couple 6-packs of fuschia, yellow, and lavender mini snapdragons in my main garden. Finally, I planted the sedum Angelina in the pockets of my big glazed strawberry pot and a nice purple-flowering Delosperma cooperii in the top of it. It's an experiment. I never put succulents in my strawberry pot before. Are they perennial? I saw today that the Darned Squirrels dug out 2 of my mini-snaps, they were laying out on the ground! Due to the restrictions of the Sabbath, I could not instantly replant them. I will do so on Sunday. We are supposed to get some overnight showers which will hopefully sustain the mini-snaps until I can replant them. And I PUT red pepper flakes, which nearly blinded ME, all around that garden when I planted stuff Friday. Argh!

Don . Always glad to enable. :p I had no intentions of looking at or even buying GwtW. Chris has it listed in his catalog but there is no picture, so I hadn’t paid it any mind when I was scouting my first order earlier this year. Then BAM I saw it. I mistook it for Bridal Falls at first, but looking at my Bridal Falls now, the only similarity is the white margin. The leaf shape, overall size, and mound shape are completely different with GwtW. The picture that Olga has on her website does it justice. It’s going to be a biggun’ so mind where you plant it once you do decide to purchase it. :) Ademink . I actually ordered from Chris this spring as well via mail order. There were 43 hostas total in that order. After this second order arrives I’m going to need a sign in my front yard that says “Garden brought to you by Hallson”. WOW Don ... never too many hosta.. Your count is still growing! How is your room for more? I made a section 2 1/2 ft. x 50 ft. by my husband's wood shed( so he won't pile STUFF) I planted English ivy to climb and have room for hosta under/around/ in front of vines . I know the ivy is invasive but it is in an area I can mow around if it gets crazy and also hides a metal siding. Stained glass is such a nice one but never saw Mojito offered locally but it looks very nice. Moc I really like your Key West. Hallson give you bonus with your orders? Your selections are so great in the US.. lucky ducks!

I just placed an order with them this morning. Been meaning to order from them for some time, just never did. They have a hosta I've been coveting since I've seen it in a garden, so I'm pretty excited to be getting that one. The hosta is Hoosier Dome. What I ordered: Brother Stefan (seems highly recommended here) Dragon Fire (to go with my Dragon's Eye) Hoosier Dome (as stated above) Lakeside Cha Cha (seen pics on here of this one, so I must have it) Rainbow's End (same, seen pics on here, must have) Can't wait to get them!
