Kind of shoes to wear in garden?
Comments (40)I wear hand-me-down adidas sport sandals, the kind your kids wear after playing soccer. They are about an inch thick rubber with a wide strap across. They are easy to kick off and dry fast whenever I get them wet. I can also take them off and use them as knee pads when checking a plant. Flip flops rub sores on my feet whenever they get wet. So I use them to go into the house, to avoid tracking dirt from my dirty feet. I use a brush to clean my toes and my heels. I always wear a hat ever since my hair dresser got on to me about my dry ends. She said that the older you get the less oil in your hair and the sun can really dry it out. So my big big big stupid hat is by the door to remind me to take care of my hair and my face....See MoreComfortable pants/capris for travel, walking, hiking
Comments (31)Before lizzard had even suggested the LL Bean pants, I had ordered them! And happy to report that they are fantastic. I actually had to order a size smaller because they were too big (love when that happens!). I also ordered a chino skirt from LLB that I'm very happy with. Finally, in my Zappos shipment, I received a skirt and casual dress from Horny Toad that I loooove. Both are in a jersey fabric that somehow does not cling to my less-favorable parts. And both are in a charcoal gray color that is nice, a little different from the usual black. For me, this process works better than the mall. I had free shipping from LLB, and I can return my rejects to the store about 15 minutes from here. Zappos is free shipping and returns. Still waiting for the cropped chinos I ordered from Garnet Hill... (Yes, I went on a bit of a spree!)...See MoreYou love sliding your feet into what kind of shoes?
Comments (40)Gee, I'm getting ideas here. I don't really like wearing shoes, but love to have them. My favs are anything thong (shoes, that isn - we don't wear that other type). My sister actually calls me the queen of thong sandals. I don't think I've found a pair of thong sandals that I can't wear, or don't look OK on my feet. Too bad I have bad feet that hurt. But I think that's why I can wear the thongs so well. It does help that I had a spur removed at my big toe and there is no rubbing - at all, ever. But after reading these posts, I need to try some crocs. I have some thong water resistant Burkies that I've worn almost totally out. Of course they are thongs! But I just might try crocs. How do they look on size 10 feet???? I don't need pink ones, do I - LOL....See Morearghhh, walking shoes!!! and ????
Comments (18)Sjerin, my feet don't sweat in Keens. But then I don't sweat so don't go by me. Yes, Glenda it is Roger's Outdoors. We just got back from the mountains and a person working in an outfitter's store we were in recommended Ahnu Tilden II. I'm not familiar with this brand but he said the fabric on the top wicks away moisture. He also said they were more comfortable than Keens. I didn't try them on but I liked the way they looked.
