When the Num Lock light is on it means that the keypad on the right-hand side of the keyboard will function like a 10-key adding machine. When the Num Lock light is off, the keys function sort of like a mouse -- the keys are directional in nature. Look at the key labeled with the number 4. You will see that it has an arrow pointing to the left. When the Num Lock is off and you press that key, the cursor on your screen will move one space to the left. If you press the 1 key, the cursor will jump to the end of the line you are on. And so on. The Num Lock light doesn't affect anything other than the functionality of the keypad on the right side of the keyboard. So, if the main part of your keyboard wasn't working, it wasn't because the Num Lock light was on (or off).

you can always mute by clicking on the small speaker icon down by the clock and selecting mute there. Try pressing shift + numlock, to toggle the Fn feature If you can not get it back as it was, if this is something that just suddenly changed, you can always just do a simple system restore to the day before or some previous restore point when it was working properly. Dang, that happened to me years ago when I had a fake Adobe Suite installed by a friend. The rest of it still works, but the photoshop disappeared the first time I opened it when I happened to be connected to the internet. (I use these softwares very rarely, not for designing my own things but for checking and proofreading on work being done by a designer, maybe once a year). (Though I would have used photoshop myself, it must be admitted) But.... I thought that Adobe last year made an old version freely available without subscription, and I thought that version was CS3...? But I could be wrong. I ended up downloading and using free GIMP instead for photo editing. I've been using it for at least 5 years and I still hate it, can't find my way around it, keep getting stuck in the wrong tool and can't change it back, argh!

Woof @frito gordito. that comment was way to harsh and fairly unkind. Clearly you were not considering the poster's feelings. I hope you just made an internet posting rookie mistake. rule of thumb is to be kind even when offering criticism. That aside the picture is gorgeous and it adds a chic contemporary look to a very traditional dining room. My suggestion is to move the buffet to under the window. this will occupy more real estate for the furniture in the room. Frame the art and lower it almost to chair rail height. If you have the option get a slightly smaller rug so the dining set does not get drowned out by the rug. My only criticism is that the dining room is so amazing and so large, a table that sits 8 would have filled in the space better. But, that I know is not always an option.
