While they look very good and truely are smudge proof, I would stay away from ANY Electrolux regfrigerator! I was told that Electrolux products were good quality. How far from the truth! My refrigerator (3yrs. old, model:E23C75DSS4) has been a major disappointment. To address your question: It is supposed to a counter depth. That is absolutely not true. When the doors are opened all the way they will hit the edge of your counter top. Plus, 5. The doors are supposed to have a mechanism that prevents them from flying open past a 40 degree angle, unless you want them too. That "stop" does not work anymore. Now we have to hold the door in a position that will keep it from hitting the counter top. If you care to know, here are some other problems with this refrigerator: 1. The seal on the freezer must not be tight, because shortly after I bought it a had a pound of dead ants on the bottom shelf of the freezer. 2. It is very loud and runs almost constantly. My 30 year old GE was less noisy. 3. The coating, that is supposed to make the stainless steel smudgeproof works very well, but shortly after we bought it it started to bubble up. 4. The doors are not aligned. One is higher than the other and sticks further out. 6. By year two some sticky brown fluid had leaked out of the bottom right door hinge, causing it too creak very loudly when being opened. I get sick to my stomach when I think that I paid $2000 for this. It is not worth more than $500. Unfortunately due to the reputation of Electrolux in Europe we did not think that we needed to buy the extended warranty.

Why change washer if it's working fine and you're happy with it? Maybe you have a bad batch of dryers. A lot of people are happy with LG. But if you're not, get a Whirlpool 7.4 or Kenmore version at 7.5 cu. ft. I have the Whirlpool Gold 7.4 and it's incredibly quiet. Way more features than I'll ever use. Cost me $300 and I'll bet you paid way more for a smaller capacity on the LG. Unless you insist on having the matching models, which never made sense to me. I've seldom actually seen washer and dryer sets TRULY "match". I'm one who believes form follows function. That said, I'd be annoyed too with a new dryer that rattles, squeeks and doesn't work right. Send it back. Take the extra money and go have a nice dinner, fill the tank with gas and buy some detergent.

IKEA does not require using their recommended installers so there is no effect on warranty. We did a pretty large kitchen with a lot of structural work and arranged it so we (my husband) assembled the cabinets and the GC's guys installed them. I did most of the layout design myself after lots of Houzz studying but then finalized with a designer at IKD (cost was about $300) to get another review and address some question areas. My IKD plans were professionally laid out with all the measurements and diagrams so it was an easy hand off to the contractor. (That is, if they bothered to refer to the plans but that's another story.) I love my kitchen so much - particularly all the soft close drawers. I'm a little obsessed with IKEA so I might not be the best judge. The assembly is pretty straight forward. We had a back up plan to hire a handywoman to help me do them if we got behind in our "just a few a day" plan. I think she was going to charge $25/hr. In our previous house, we did a much smaller IKEA kitchen and were lucky enough to work with a general contractor who also had an IKEA specialty so his guys were super fast in assembling and installing. My recommendation is to get someone to install who's done it well before or someone who is open to learning so you can go over it together - not someone who assumes they know how to do it.
