Need help to pick tile color for my house

My house got flooded by Harvey and I need to change many things, one of the things is floor. I use to have laminate and tile downstairs, now I want to use wood plank tile to replace the damaged laminate. The laminate is light gold color and worked well. But I can't find similar color of wood plank tile. Someone suggest Fullham Red Wood Plank ceramic tile from Floor and Decor, which is brown and much darker than my laminate floor. I have pattered tile floor at foyer and kitchen, I am planning to keep the tiles in these 2 areas. The new floor is for formal living, dining, breakfast, and family room. I need some help to decide whether this new ceramic tile works? Is it too dark for my house? The house can get decent amount of natural light. My wall is white, the ceiling is only 8 feet high. Thanks in advance

Sorry for your troubles; it's impressive that you're getting this done so quickly.. That tile looks like it coordinates really well with your entry tile and the stairway. It's not too dark; I think a lighter color would make the existing tile stand out too much. This choice would look great, especially since you say you get a lot of light. It's got a lot of depth in the light.

Niki- make sure that you double check that the color you like is rated for pools (they have a list). And if you can get about 6 pieces of the color to see the variation, id recommend it. Green looks AMAZING in pools. i wanted green or white. Blue came because of the price, I needed a ton of tile for the bond beam so I only had 2 options. I’m happy with it though. It’s very pretty. The other tile I used in my yard was a black and white from Arto. I have a built in bench above the pool where I added the tile. It’s a weird combo that just sorta works. We are now planting and finishing up the bench. Hope to one day be done to post pictures of the whole yard. We also did a fire pit area and a large outdoor bar. I posted some video and pictures on an Instagram account named “decoratingbynumbers”.

Before any and all..........address the kitchen layout and function. I doubt you can open the fridge fully, the desk should go, I think you do not want a microwave over the range. .........All these, including a more built in look for the fridge, should come before tops of any variety. Frankly, it appears the kitchen is too small for the island within it. Start with clearances, layout etc, before the bells and whistles
